come and join me in my pit of gloom boredom and a little bit of excitement

I am 2 days over now and no signs whatsoever

star6 Sun 06-Jul-08 20:14:08

I'm still early on, but I read your last oooh oooh ouch post and I have been feeling very sorry for you!!! I hope your little one arrives very soon. Are you having a home birth or going to the hospital?

springerspaniel Sun 06-Jul-08 21:12:46

I am 2 days under. Boredom, tiredness, excitement, terror, indigestion, grumpiness, .....

Will I have to stop being so grumpy once I don't have the pregnant excuse?

evening all
star I don't know, will no doubt keep everyone posted of my every move wink

springer no as we will have sleep deprivation to blame then

sleepy I was 10 days over with ds and somehow stupidly thought I was owed an 'early' one this time round hmm

star6 Sun 06-Jul-08 21:44:31

surely the pain was a sign of the baby coming, right? Maybe it's just taking a little rest before making it's entrance to the world.
I'm 26 weeks with 1st, so no real idea of what a "sign" is - i've been having a braxton hicks every few days and can't even imagine what REAL birth signs are like...

no it just had its darling little hand wedged in a tender part of my pelvis, star

'chilled but edgy'....oh man

FrannyandZooey Sun 06-Jul-08 21:58:23

sleepy YES I have fab boys name am very happy with now (and have even persuaded dp he likes it too)

only problem is I can't choose a girls name and everyone says it is a girl hmm

Poledra Sun 06-Jul-08 22:03:24

Don't listen to them, Franny - i have had complete strangers assuring me that I am having a boy but I know it's a girl (really do know, have had to have lots of scans).

Not overdue yet (10 days to go) but thought I might as well get settled in early. Where's Squonk - she usually loooves this sort of thread?grin

no names here poor baby!

suddenly bricking it - dp has just gone down to 'paint a picture rail then I will come back up and go through your hospital bag'

sad oh no

FrannyandZooey Sun 06-Jul-08 22:08:14

I never say till it's born, sleepy - there's always someone who doesn't like it and will say so!
I love Theodore / Theo - we have a good friend with a little Theodore otherwise i think I may have gone for it myself

Butterfly are you scared of anything in particular? or just have the general fear

ButterflyMcQueen Sun 06-Jul-08 22:14:23

said to dp today - if i did not know better i would think i had a few months to go yet!

FrannyandZooey Mon 07-Jul-08 08:37:25

grrrr at forgetting you are pg
you're on the wrong thread lady [grumpy]

FrannyandZooey Mon 07-Jul-08 15:06:29

hohum
no bugger even wants to mooch around with you when you are overdue, I see
am social pariah as well as looking like back of bus

brightandshiny Mon 07-Jul-08 17:31:46

I'll mooch and moan with you. I was due the 4th too.

I have had slightly early babies before, dd was 39 weeks and ds was 39+4, so I am feeling as though I'm a week over already.

hate being so huge, can't even get off the sofa without being oiked up by dh.

FrannyandZooey Mon 07-Jul-08 18:53:33

midwife is going to rummage next Monday if I am still here

not such a crap day today, I tried really hard not to get grumpy with ds and after a false start succeeded

plus went to the gym which always makes me feel better if I can only haul my enormous planet sized body there

sherby Mon 07-Jul-08 20:12:16

[rude lurker sticking her nose in]

clary sage
clary sage
clary sage

Nice hot shower, massage into aforementioned planet sized body, et voila a BABY

FrannyandZooey Mon 07-Jul-08 20:49:21

ooh not sure
clary sage a bit odd IMO

LullyOfShallot Mon 07-Jul-08 20:54:23

<whispers>
I have some if you want some

didn't work either grin

FrannyandZooey Mon 07-Jul-08 21:00:47

I am focusing on waiting a week and then the midwife will rummage it out

ooh (TMI alert) I had about a millimetre of mucus earlier

<nods>

that is about the ONLY sign I am nearing delivery that I have had in the last 2 weeks
apart from the planet sized business
