Had very bad sickness with dd1. Moderate sickness with dd2 and this pregnancy, although still vomiting at 6 months so not that great.

isn't it so weird that some people don't get it at all, tell you what, if I felt like this the whole time, it'd be a doddle compared to the puking!!

It's usually kicked in by week 7, if not, you may be lucky.

is it thought that girls make you more sick than boys?

I had a great pregnancy with ds. No sickness at all. Now I'm about 7/8 weeks and I want to curl up and die!
So that must mean that you can get it the other way round too?

I have heard that you get it worse with girls. I'm sure it's not true.

it's so weird, isn't it? I wonder how come some people don't ever get it...?

Sick every other day for 3-4 months with my 1st (Ds)

Nauseous every day, sick a few times with my 2nd (Dd)

With current pregnancy (Ds2) I felt a bit nauseous for the 1st 3 months only actually sick twice!

Seems to get less each time for me!

ooooh, that'd be good, to get less and less...

Not too bad with DD, nausea rather than being sick - dreadful with this pregnancy, wretching over anything, even the smell of baby wipes is enough to set me off .

maybe a boy Lenni....?

That would be nice - and the sonographer at my dating scan kept referring to the baby as 'he' which has set me off wondering....

hmmmm, I'd take a big cue from that!

I have a dd and a ds, love having both

Hiya I have had 7 altogether but sadly lost 2 girls in mid pregnancy, I have 4 living (2 DD 2 DS) and one on way (fingers crossed for this one sticking). I was so sick with DDs but even with twin DS was not sick, felt great.

sorry to hear about your miscarriages, jelly, and all the best with this one. how many weeks are you? I am stressing as slapped cheek going around school and am pretty sure dd has it (have sent her to school, only now has it clicked that is what she has) - have heard it can cause miscarriage. going to ask for blood test tomorrow at GP

There's a BBC piece somewhere on their website that says very severe sickness is commoner with girls, so think it is not just anecdotal, but I have friends who had longer sickness with their boys. This pregnancy I'm still sick at 18 weeks, and was sick for the whole time last time. It started at 8 weeks last time because I remember thinking I'd got away with not getting it, and at 6 weeks this time.

DS1 no sickness.

DS2 felt sick for about 2 days.

This one, have felt very sick for 8 weeks so far, still never been sick with any of them though.
