All i see is babies. I see them in the shops and on the street and its like a puppy, I want another one. Please refresh me with all your horrors of pregnancy/birth. I need to hear it.

Looking at mine (13mos) growing up so much makes me want another but dp says he'd rather cut off his penis with a rusty knife...

can't help I'm afraid. I have the same problem.

My mum says it stays like that until you reach menopause

I think I could be tempted to have a third - thankfully dh is against the idea so he is a good contraceptive for me.

Nah, other peoples babies aren't as nice as mine.

I can imagine that other people get that when they look at my baby though.

28 hours of labour followed by emergency ceasarean. Paper knickers, ceasarean support stockings (mmm mmm!), K cup bra with no underwiring, jelly tummy. Mastitis with the flu symptoms 3 times in 7 weeks with constantly leaking boobs, guilt feelings for giving up breastfeeding, sleepless nights for the first 8 weeks with DD2, but for the first 7 months with DD1! Trying to change 8 month old baby's nappy whilst she is constantly trying to turn over - need I go on?!!

Flum you are so naughty

Nobody's baby is EVER going to be as nice as yours. I look at other peoples babies and smugly look at mine and KNOW he is the cutest, the brightest and most well behaved. My uterus rules the world and I have spawned the king of all babies.

I absolutely adore ds and (obviously) think he's the smartest loveliest baby in the world.

But from the second I had him, I've wanted another

lunavix · 25/01/2005 15:59

And looking at others (the cute ones, not the ugly ones ) makes it worse...

Report
bundle · 25/01/2005 16:00

i don't even have to look at babies to want another one

Report
NameChangingMancMidlander · 25/01/2005 16:01

Only slightly, and then I remember that I already have 3 and that 2.5 years after the youngest I'm only just getting 'me' back.

I loathe pregnancy, every single moment of it. Small babies drive me to sleepless infanticidal rage. I am stretched to the limit emotionally, physically, financially with the two I've got, and I won't even start on the ravages that two pregnancies have wreaked on my body. My first labour was a total bloody 36 hour nightmare and my second was seven solid hours of vile backache.

Nope, doesn't work. Brooooooooooooooooood....
