Hi all, just wondering how many people are struggling same as me.
Myself and my husband have the same views on my pregnancy; we're listening to my body to tell me when to stop doing things (I'm only 14 weeks along, so very capable of doing most things still), keeping nice and active, keeping to a healthy diet and trying to keep things as BPA free as possible (e.g. using glass dishes instead of plastic ones for lunch and having metal water bottles.. we can't cut all plastic out as so much food comes in it nowadays). All of this is to try and give the best start to our baby as possible, and to make the pregnancy easier for me.
Now we're not bringing these things up with people, as we don't want to come across as judgy, but when we get asked about things we're honest. For example I got asked at work why I'm eating a salad for lunch and from a glass dish and I told them it's to keep a healthy diet and to try and reduce the BPA.
Since then I've had a few comments about making sure I'm keeping everything BPA free and only eating salad like they're trying to take the mick.
It's especially annoying when I'm being told not to do anything active, even little things like carrying shopping in from the car by other family members. I'm tired already of being treated like an invalid and that making small changes that won't negatively impact on our child are being met with such a response, and people have only known for 2 weeks.
I imagine it only gets worse.. but please say it's not just me.
