Is Nub Theory Accurate? Was it right for you?

Hi All Does any one have experience with the Nub Theory? I have posted my scans on FB Groups and also paid £10 to the nub Techs. All say boy so I'm guessing I'm having another little boy. But is it accurate? Can I assume I am having a baby boy from this or is it just a total guess? I've already bought a few blue cardigans as the accuracy rate on the website etc is super high! Lol. The baby does have a super "boy" nub from other photos I've seen. Anyone used them and they have been correct or incorrect for you?? Thanks!

My second had a boy nub, but I personally thought the skull shape was girl. I posted on here, diff user name, everyone said boy. I was convinced baby was a boy and I didn't buy much as already had a boy, but bought a nice new blue & orange blanket for the hospital photos. We didn't find out at the scans. Baby is a girl.

Ahh wow. Maybe I'll slow down on the buying of blue then lol. I'm also not finding out untill the end, curiosity just took over! Hoping I haven't ruined the surprise of it all, but I kind of have because now convinced I have another boy lol

Ha ha .. will be a nice surprise for you. My best friend said do you know what's best in terms of babies, two the same or one of each 😂

My DD was dressed pretty boyish for a few months in what I thought was quite unisex brights and then the pink started. I don't really buy it myself, but other people did as gifts and it grew on me. It suits her, and yellow doesn't suit either rod my kids. My DS looked great in orange & navy though it red.

Weirdly I was so convinced that DD was a boy as my pregnancy was so similar, same cravings, although I was smaller, I ate less cakes. I also had a scan at 34 weeks for my placenta and they kept saying he, even though I said I hadn't found out the sex and didn't want to know.

Right the first time, everyone guessed boy and was a boy
Second baby had comments like '100% girl' 'definitely a girl' etc, is another boy!
I paid for a 'professional guess' on a website online, they also guessed girl based on nub and skull theory's - wrong!

It’s all just guesswork no matter how much “theory” people try to convince you of.
Given its 50/50 there will be some for whom the guess was correct.
I’d not waste any more time and money, wait for your 20 week scan if you want to know, or get a NIPT.
I know the wait can be difficult but better to get an accurate result

The nub theory is accurate if done correctly. I wouldn’t pay for that though. Can I see your scan pic please?

I've actually posted on a few fb sites since, and had some "early girl" guesses, along with boys too, so now I'm confused. But still going with the nub Techs as they seem too be the pros. I know it's all 50/50 either way lol, but tbh it seems to be accurate for a lot of people!

Use the Nub Whisperer - I think the Nub techs were wrong for me but she was right according to 3 scans and NIPT! Her success rate is bonkers high.

The skull looks like a boy to me

In the nicest way, what’s the point in sending it to another company? You’ve said you’re not finding out the sex but it seems like you really do want to know so just find out with a scan🙂

Oh doesn't want to know. I do now lol. But want to keep it a surprise for him really. Probably won't send to any one else as I'm guessing they'll just say boy too anyway. I like seeing peoples opinions on it.

All nub theory sites and fb pages said mine was a girl. He’s definitely a boy 😂

I've seen that so many times when they mistake girl for boy, as girl Nubs can rise so I have heard many times lol, but boys don't change apparently, so will just have to wait and see I guess then Grin

I posted my scan on a few forums and every single guess was girl. Every. Single. One. They were right to be fair. Smile

I never paid the nub techs but I asked on here and a few friends.

Ds1 was a very clear boy nub. Everyone guessed correctly he was a boy.

Ds2 looked like a girl nub. Hardly anyone thought boy.

DD1 everyone correctly thought girl.

So 2/3 for me.
