Any positive pregnancy bleeding with clots stories?

Hi ladies. I got my (faint) BFP on Sunday, today is 12DPO and I think it's a pretty decent line. However, I've had blood when I wipe after using the loo... Usually after a bowel movement. First one was Sunday night, bright red, no clots. Nothing for 24hrs. Then yesterday night, brown with stringy bit. Then this morning browny red with a dark red clot. And just now brown with stringy bits. Did a test an hour ago, still have a good line (photo attached is from this afternoon).

Anyone have anything similar? How did it work out??

It could be a subchorionic Hematoma? Which is basically a small pool of blood which can form due to implantation.
I saw it on my early scan at 6 weeks and had a BIG bleed at 7 weeks but so far the baby is all good!
If you're HCG levels don't seem to be dropping I think you should be fine :)

I did, then had a big bleed at 7 weeks, my son is now 3 and perfectly healthy, when i had an early scan i was told its common but they aren't allowed to call it normal, i hope everything is OK with you and your baby

@SpiceGirl93 oh that's really interesting, hope it's something like that! Were you bleeding from the start too?

@Mytinyman that's so reassuring! So good to hear everything turned out well with you. Were you wiping away blood regularly and did you have many clots?

I have bless regularly throughout this pregnancy and lost clots but I'm now nearly 32 weeks the bleeding was down to having a low lying placenta so they may pick something like that up at your next scan, but my boy is doing well. I hope it all works out for you xx

@HopingForBabyM2021 I started bleeding at around 6.5/7 weeks but thankfully because I had a scan at 6 weeks and they told me about the Hematoma I was less worried when I saw it but I was wiping blood regularly for about a week and a half! So don't worry. My midwife said only worry if the bleeding is accompanied by really bad cramping and the clots/tissue are like a Grey colour xx

Hi all. I’m pregnant week 9.5 and I spotted brown discharge on my underwear yesterday. Since then it moved to heavy bleeding and I also passed a large clot looks like thin tissue and it just fell out. I’m really worried I’ve been to ANE yesterday with the bleeding but they can’t do a scan until Thursday so I booked one for tomorrow. I’ve not felt bad cramps it feels more like shuttle period laid but had bad lower back. So worried

Thanks so much to everyone who replied. A quick update: I went to the EPU where they did a scan (I would be 4 weeks so too early to see anything), and a urine test. Urine test came back negative so they sent me home. When I got home I took another test and it was clearly positive! AF due today, only spotting when I wipe. Bright red but no clots. I'm losing my mind.

I have read so many stories of CPs, so know that this is what it could be. But I've also read a few positive stories where it all worked out.

I'm hoping for the best but preparing for the worst.

Any other positive stories would be really welcome.

@HopingForBabyM2021 really hope it all works out for you! i'd wait to see what happens over the next week or so and take another test in a few days. when i got my bfp i was also having brown spotting with clots, so i thought it must be a chemical pregnancy. but it seems to have stuck and i'm now 33 weeks and things are looking healthy! i had a subchorionic hematoma and also a cervical ectropian - a combination of which has meant i've had bleeding on and off throughout the whole pregnancy. fingers crossed for you!

Hi @northerngal20 so happy to hear everything is working out nicely for you and baby! Must have been very scary! My concerns are not just about the bleeding but about the strength of the lines too ☹️ they seem quite faint for 14DPO. This is the one I took when I got back from the EPU yesterday afternoon.

@HopingForBabyM2021 that's definitely a positive though, and it was taken in the afternoon which could explain why it was a little fainter. i've attached a pic of mine from what i thought was 14 DPO and it was almost identical to yours (which didn't help the anxiety haha) but it turned out i'd actually just ovulated a day or so later than i thought and was put back a few days at my dating scan. Unfortunately there's nothing you can do at the moment but wait and see what happens with the bleeding and re-test in a few days. It's so hard i know, but try to keep yourself distracted if you can! wishing you all the best!
