It's the first time I've been pregnant and I'm 9 weeks and 5 days, last week I had a some creamy mucus with a brown blood clot in it. Which I read was normal but today every time I wipe there is dark brown blood (like at the beginning of a period) and now just a tinge of red, had a few cramps like I have during a period, but read that this is normal due to growing uterus, but worried it could be something not normal, has anyone had similar experience?

I'm going to call the dr tomorrow

Things like this can be so worrying can’t they. I really feel for you.
Is there an early pregnancy unit at a hospital near you that you can visit tomorrow?
It’s so hard to say because everyone is different but, some people do just bleed through various stages of pregnancy.
Good luck and I hope everything’s fine x

Hey lovely. I'm in the same boat. 3rd day of brown spotting and also feeling worried. I spoke to my midwife today though, and she was quite positive and said it's very normal. Could be old implantation blood, baby just growing and embedding further or placenta. Hope it all goes well for you! ❤️

I know how you feel, any bleeding in pregnancy is so scary. It doesn’t automatically mean it’s something bad though. I had bleeding off and on throughout the 1st and 2nd Trimester with my 3rd including quite a heavy bleed at 16weeks. Turned out I had ‘ectropian’ cells (where cells grow outside the cervix) they can become irritated and bleed. As pp said I’d call the EPU but try not to worry xx

The GP wanted to refer me to the early pregnancy unit but due to Covid it isn't possible. We decided to ease our minds rather than waiting until March 15th for our 12 week scan to have a private scan. Unfortunately we had miscarried. Feel slightly numb and not really sure it was all real!

@firsttimemum38 I’m so sorry 😔 For what it’s worth I miscarried and then got pregnant again the next month, so stay positive. Not that it would take away from your loss obviously, but it will happen again for you x

So sorry. This happened to me before Christmas, very similar gestation as you. Take time to process it all and be gentle to yourself. Thanks
