4+1 day and started spotting again, this is my 4th pregnancy and I've already had 3 early losses. My most recent being a chemical last month.
When I just went to the loo I have discharge with a slight brown tinge to it, this is how it always starts 😭 I don't think I can go through this is again

So sorry - that's completely crap. It might be OK but as you know it might not. After 3 losses they should offer you some tests - maybe get in touch with your GP and explain what is happening and see if there's anything they can do? I know with recurrent loss my GP wouldn't do any tests until 6 weeks after my MC so I had to wait but thankfully had a successful PG established before then. Lots of women on here swear by low dose aspirin as well.

Fingers crossed it's OK - 50% of the time bleeding is OK. The waiting is complete shite though.

@lockdownbabyx I’m so sorry, I really hope it’s not the start of anything for you.

I’ve also suffered 4 miscarriages over the course of the last 12 months and it’s been soul destroying.

I am one of the women that will shout from the rooftops about taking a low dose aspirin. It’s the only thing I did differently from 1dpo this time around and my pregnancy has felt different from the outset. Strong lines early on, great progression, heartbeat seen early on at 5+4 and every scan since has been spot on.

Because of my recurrent losses the EPU also started me on progesterone pessaries which I’m to use until 16 weeks. But I honestly think it’s the aspirin that’s made the difference.

I truly truly hope you have a different outcome to your previous pregnancies.

@BlueberryPancake21 @Moominmiss
Thank you both for the advice. I have actually been taking low dose aspirin since ovulation as I had heard such positive stories. I too have had mega dark lines, attached is only from this morning and it's a dye stealer (15dpo). So I had high hopes. I know spotting isn't always bad news but I can't help but assume the worst. Will see how it is in the next few days.

Those lines look great! I definitely got darker lines with my successful PG. Hopefully the aspirin does the trick - some spotting can be totally normal as you know but I can understand you fearing the worst as well. Good luck for the next few weeks whatever happens - I know how tough it is.

Those lines look great. Far better than I ever got with any of my losses.

I have everything crossed for you. Hopefully it’s just baby making itself extra comfortable in there and really burrowing in for the long haul! 🤞🏻

Do you have an early scan booked or anything? X

That progression looks really good. Hopefully it stays brown and doesn’t go red. Don’t loose faith yet!

@BlueberryPancake21 thank you, I haven't had anything for a couple of hours so I'm hoping and praying that was it.

@Moominmiss I'm really trying to be positive and think that way, so hard though isn't it. I have a scan booked with the EPU when il be 6+4 weeks xx

Really sorry to hear this, but as others have said you just don't know. I've had 6 pgs, two were successful, but I had spotting with all of them. So it isn't enough on its own to mean the worst.
If it is bad news get on the testing route to see if there is anything else to be done.

@ItsIgginningtolooklikelockdown thank you, I'm sorry to hear of your losses too. I think I worry more because I haven't had a successful pregnancy yet, so I'm worried I never will. I get PG so easily aswell which is odd, been on the first try each time. I will def look into testing if I lose this one aswell, I wanted to try just once more but we shall see what happens xx

There is a lot out there you can do (if it comes to that) don't give up hope.
My dcs were my first and last pgs, very happy with them but would not wish going through the bit in the middle on anyone, it really sucks.

So sorry to hear this. I really hope it’s not bad news for you - I’ve been there and know how horrible it is ❤️ Fingers crossed for you and sending love.

Is there any way you get a private consultation and get some progesterone?

I had an appointment over zoom last week through nova fertility (which I think is based in Manchester) and within 2 days I had the progesterone which I am now taking. It’s been shown to improve pregnancy outcomes in women that have experienced bleeding.

If you’d like to chat about it please dm me xx

I had 2 x bleeds (not spotting) at 6 & 8 weeks and was on Progesterone from the start until 12 weeks as it was an ivf baby but am now at 20 weeks and pregnancy is still viable so would recommend Progesterone if you can get it? Also wonder about taking Aspirin before 12 weeks as this can cause bleeding.

Thanks all, I haven't had any more since, I'm praying it was a one off. I have got a backache now though but also have trapped wind and a stitch so not sure if that's the reason for the back ache.

I'm going to ring my GP tomorrow and see if he can help me with progesterone, my EPU said they can't prescribe it.

Thank you all for the advise xx

I've heard that you can get breakthrough bleeding in early pregnancy at around the time your period is due...could it possibly be something like this? Really hope everything works out okay for you.

@lockdownbabyx I'm going through the same. I can't seem to get past four weeks without spotting/bleeding, but my tests look identical to yours. I can't get into the doctors until Thursday. Hope all goes well for you today xx

I hope everything goes well OP. I had a good amount of spotting with DS and a big bleed around 9 weeks. I'd had a previous miscarriage so I was devastated and convinced I'd lost the pregnancy again. He's 15 months now.

I’d definitely recommend progesterone. I’ve had 9 early loses and an ectopic. The ectopic I took progesterone and aspirin and it grew and grew even after I had injection to stop it growing (as knew it was ectopic) it ended up rupturing it was so strong! I’m sure if that one had been in the right place it would have survived. Try get some ASAP

@Jakc I've mentioned progesterone to my GP twice but they don't want to give it to me until I've been tested 😔. If I get to my 6 week scan I'm going to mention it to the EPU aswell.

@Idiotathome79 @Mylittlesandwich thank you both, it's nice to hear success stories xx

@lockdownbabyx I had brown spotting at the weekend which I naively thought was implantation. Yesterday it had stopped all day until the evening and when I wiped it was red, nothing on a pad or anything, but still there. This morning it's a bit pinky. Never thought I'd be discussing my knicker contents on the internet before, the things we do 🤣
Have my fingers crossed for you. Sounds promising that it's gone off. Positive thoughts!x
