Just got my BFP... what do I do now??

As the title suggests.. just got my
BFP yesterday. Over the moon. What do I do now? Ring the dr? Do I have to wait? I'm clueless 😳

Congratulations.
Most areas let you just register with a midwife online, and then you wait until you get an appointment at around 8-10 weeks.
The dr won't want to see you but you could call and ask the receptionist if you can't find out how to register with the midwife. For my area you just google the local hospital midwife and it lets you register from there.
Really not much happens in the first trimester it's just a waiting game!

Thats what I did, I called the GP and the receptionist gave me the number to register with the midwives. So it probably isn't your GP you need but they will be able to tell you. But yes you won't have any contact until around week 8. You feel a bit ignored in early pregnancy, it all steps up later though.

You'd also be doing well to read about the banned foods on the NHS website, and start taking folic acid and vitamin d, or a pregnancy multivitamin, if you're not already.

I sent a message on the online chat thing with the doctors just asking if they could send me the number for the midwifes. My doctor rang an hour later (I was surprised too) saying I've done the right thing getting in touch with her and she's now going to get the receptionist to send me a pack out etc and book me in with antenatal services. It really must vary between areas!

I am wondering whether I should have waited too, as the dr said I was very quick off the mark but she was still okay to speak to me about it.
