FTM & pregnancy
Hi! I’ve not long found out that I am expecting my miracle little bean.

I have PCOS and so my periods were always irregular.

My previous cycle was 46 days, and my last period was 5th November for 7 days.

I believe a may have ovulated around 6/7th December.

Clear blue is saying I’m around 1-2weeks, however this hasn’t budged in 6 days and so I’m getting a little worried, as I would think I’m just over 4 weeks now? So shouldn’t it say 2-3 weeks?

Is anyone able to offer advice? Why maybe the clear blue isn’t changing, and how far I might be?

I have a scan booked for 23rd January for a viability scan, but just curious.

Thanks in advance Mumma’s 💕

Please don't stress, that sounds normal to me and also everyone's hormones are different. I tested at 4 weeks and got 1-2 weeks, tested again at 5 weeks and got 2-3 weeks and I'm gonna test again at around 6 weeks and hopefully will get 3+ weeks.

Hiya,

Congrats by the way!

The clear blue or other digital tests will show you from conception date. When working out pregnancy at the doctors they use the last menstrual cycle. This can contribute to confusion with dates & how long people have been pregnant for. Also you may have been more towards the one week HCG level when you first tested & as it doubles every 2-3 days it may still be early so it’s not picking up loss of HCG. As long as your pregnancy test is still positive & there’s no bleeding you should be ok. If in doubt call your doctor x

Thank you everyone, I am a nervous wreck! All I keep hearing around me is how many people have miscarried. I am having some abdominal cramps and tugging, and every twinge sends me into a frenzy. My parter keeps assuring me that I'm doing all I can, which I know I am.
I wish I could skip this trimester or at least have other obvious symptoms of pregnancy which would reassure me.
Does anyone have any tips to help me stay calm? I think it's because of how long it took me to get pregnant at 21, and with my PCOS and family history, I'm on edge!

Also having never been pregnant before, I had no idea the cramps would be similar to my period ones!!

Those tests are evil, & cause nothing but anxiety.

It was a complete coincidence that when mine didn’t move in July I ended up having a mmc.

It did the same this time, which of course sent me into a panic as I had the cramps and tugging too. Went to the EPU twice I think. I’m now 20+4

I had to see it to the 3+ result but I wish I’d never bought them, because it caused so much heartache and worry.

Big love

Cramps are normal don’t worry! Do you have flo or any kind of tracking app? it will help massively as it has loads and loads of advice when you log symptoms and can help you relax with techniques. It’s good for knowing what’s normal and there’s forums like this where you can speak to people going through the same thing. Other than that breath, and try and distract yourself as stress won’t help xx
