Nearly 18 weeks and feeling pain on right lower side

Hey everyone.
I'm at work right now (HCA) and am feeling quite allot of pain in my right lower side. Especially when I bend down. Is this normal at around 18 weeks?
I don't know if it's the ligaments stretching or if I should be concerned and go and get it checked out.

Probably normal, but probably best to ask. I assume everything was ok at your 12w scan so no possibility of ectopic pregnancy?

Could be a UTI? I had one at the beginning of my pregnancy and it was one-sided pain, which didn't make much sense.

I'm nearly 18w and have had some odd pains too, especially getting up too quickly, or laughing(!), but sometimes just randomly and lasting for a while. So again, probably nothing, but always worth a call to your midwife/Dr to put your mind at rest.

Hey I'm just 19 weeks. I've had pains for the last month on my right side near to my knicker line if that helps? It's started to move to both sides recently. My midwife told me it's pelvic softening/round ligament pain and is normal when everything is softening up. If I walk more than 20mins or stand for too long it irritates it more. I've since bought a bbhugme maternity pillow and a memory foam pillow for bed which has helped ease the pain a bit and if it's particularly bad then I take a bath.

As above, still worth asking your midwife to be safe! XX

Yep, round ligament pain! It's awful, I was stuck on the sofa for a few days with it.

Hi, I too am nearly 18 weeks and have been getting this pain. I’m getting it right now - nearly always on the right. I think it’s the round ligament stretching and is normal.

On another related note, I’ve also been a bit prone to getting YTIs in this pregnancy which hurts down there too. The dr advised cranberry tablets rather than juice due to the sugar in the juice and these tablets are powerful and have really helped along with drinking lots of water. (Just in case this helps anyone)
