Dizzy spells and food 5 weeks

Hi,

This is more curiosity than anything I guess. I am 5 weeks pregnant and for about a week now as soon as it's coming up for the my next meal I start to feel dizzy and light headed.. I've never had this before so I guess it's pregnancy related. I'm not missing meals but even before I feel hungry for the next meal I'm feeling dizzy, once I eat I feel better, so I'm not worried but just thinking is this common?

I'm 5"1 and 7 Stone if that has anything to do with it. I haven't been vomiting yet but feel a bit nauseous when I get these dizzy spells.
Only other symptoms so far are very sore boobs and tiredness.

Thanks guys :) xx

I had this early on too and I'm pretty much bang on your height and weight.

I didn't have it so much when I was hungry, it was just on and off randomly from about 4 weeks and still have it occasionally now at almost 10.

This was the first thing I noticed before a BFP actually, I was getting dizzy and a bit hot and woozy feeling. I was convinced I either had covid or was pregnant! Grin

I had this from about 4 weeks-6 weeks with my current pregnancy and then the hardcore morning sickness kicked in where I was sick all day every day until 14 weeks! It's normal, some things that helped me was having a sugary drink, something small to eat and sitting still/ laying down (if my toddler would let me ha ha). Sometimes even now at 24 weeks i still feel abit lightheaded... good luck with the rest of your pregnancy xx

So that's the exact time frame I'm getting it ... will be 7 weeks around my birthday & Christmas .. I'm just wondering if this means I'll be very very sick like you were then.

I thought I was imagining it because I don't "feel" pregnant , not that I know what that feels like. But I'll try to eat little and often rather than 3 big meals a day . Xx

@Tinkerbellxox I started to get sick just before 6 weeks and had it pretty bad for about 4 weeks. This past week I haven't been too bad, I still have a fragile stomach and can't bare the thought of lots of food but compared to before I feel great!
I'm 9+5 right now and i'm hoping I'm past the worst now. I'm sure I'll still have some sicky days but they are broken up by good days in between now.

You might not even get morning sickness, some women don't at all!

I'm glad you're feeling better now :)

I've never been pregnant before , I'm going to tell my mum and boyfriends mum at Christmas.
I've never had anyone very close to me be pregnant so I have nothing to compare it to.

Are you quite big? Wondering if I'll pop or stay small xx

@Tinkerbellxox same, no one super close to me has been pregnant and this is my first pregnancy so I have literally no clue!

I'm 10 weeks on Wednesday and I look sort of this same but these is definitely a little something though. Normally I would have a super flat and fairly toned stomach, and it would maybe pooch a bit at the end of the day after a big dinner but the last week or so I've had that little pooch first thing in the morning which isn't typical for me. I've actually lost weight from being nauseous and went down to 6st8 at my booking appointment last week. Usually if I was at that weight I wouldn't have the slightest belly.

It definitely wouldn't qualify as a bump to anyone else but I can notice the start of something. I'm the same as you and wondering if I will stay small for ages or if I will look pregnant quite early.

Exciting that you will be telling the mums at christmas!!

Normal Wink had it with all my pregnancies and a friend as well. It tends to improve half way through the pregnancy

Take snacks when you go out.

You'd think that we'd show sooner than anyone else, I always joke around and say I've got a food baby after eating dinner because there's no where else it can hide it, maybe we'll pop one day and it'll be obvious. No one is the same are they

wow, when I've had the flu I drop down to that weight after throwing up quite a lot. just wondering if the sickness will kick in within a few weeks now - it's all a waiting game.

Haven't heard from any antenatal services yet, but that should be
coming in the next few weeks I guess. I feel like a dear in headlights!

Yes! my mum has 4 kids and I'm the only one giving (and only one ever likely) to give her grankids so she'll be very excited I'm guessing xx

I don't know why I didn't think of taking snacks with me - blonde moment.

Is it to do with blood pressure/sugar levels?

@Tinkerbellxox I have found that any symptom can be a pregnancy symptom Confused good skin/bad skin, good hair/bad hair, high BP/low BP....... fun fun!
