I think I lost my mucus plug this morning!! Is this what other people's looked like? Definitely think it looks like snot...

does it look like a whole plug or part of one? Not sure how big a whole one would be. (Pictures are of the same plug just different lighting)

How long did it take people to go in labour after having a plug like this?
I'm 38+2 🙂

Sorry for the TMI pictures!

That's definitely your mucus plug wouldn't say all of it but a good chunk could mean labour is near or just that ur starting to dilate which can take a while unfortunately I lost mine over 3 weeks with my 4th and didn't go into labour til 41+1

Thank you for the reply! Oh wow I didn't realise it could take so long, I was hoping it meant it would be in the next week or so 😳
Exciting stuff though! I'm glad things are getting into motion all the same 😁

Anyone else had similar?

I think it’s normal to lose chunks of your plug in the weeks leading up to labour. Although I didn’t lose any before going into labour with DD2 but then I had a scan with her the day before my waters broke and she wasn’t even engaged at that point.

@Katnissx has anymore come away? Also with the brown mucus there if it the start of plug and labour it is normal to get a bit of blood as well in it but if there is a good bit make sure u contact hospital

@FestiveChristmasLights I know it's normal 🙂 I was just excited as I didn't have it with my first as I was induced.

@nicciw87 thanks, I'm having pink spotting now but nothing heavy 😊 no I haven't lost anymore yet x

I lost mine at 40w and went into labour the next day! Mine also had streaks of blood in it though and came away in several different trips to the toilet.

Best of luck OPSmile

@Katnissx sounds like your bloody show happening which is usually a better sign than mucus plug. Make sure ur all packed and ready and maybe start doing a few squats get that baby moving either that or jump hubby lmao

Ooh exciting 😬
I have actually now had a couple of (tiny) streaks of bright red blood when wiping but not much else, so will see 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻we are all packed and feeling quite ready so fingers crossed 😊

@nicciw87 haha, not sure I could persuade hubby 🤣 what are the squats meant to do?

@Katnissx as soon as I felt a niggle I started squatting helps baby into right position in pelvis and also meant to stimulate Labour pains. I didn't do it to bring on labour but did it when pains started in assessment unit at 12am and baby born 7 hours later with waters breaking at 5.30 while squatting

I had some like that on the Sunday and went into labour on the Tuesday. Had quite a bit more blood though. Might not be tonight but pretty soon.

@nicciw87 thanks, I will try some squats! Can't hurt 🙂

@Keha ooh really! I hope it is soon ☺️🤞🏻

Also a bit TMI (again 😬) but keep needing to go to the loo and having loose BM, I think I've heard of other women having similar before labour like the body having a clear out? Not sure if I'm just reading into this all too much 🙊 but holding out hope all the same!

I spent the day on the toilet before I went into labour. I thought it was because I'd eaten too many apples. I was 40 weeks to the day.

Yep. That's your plug. I'd start bouncing on a ball and drinking raspberry leaf tea! Good luck xx

Thanks ladies!

I'm still here waiting patiently! Lost a small amount more plug today and still having pink spotting but nothing else yet.

I've been popping raspberry leaf capsules and went for a long walk earlier. Really hoping things might start soon 🤞🏻

Bless you OP, I was convinced I would be having my baby that day, he arrived two weeks later, the day before he was due. Raspberry leaf tea is good, I swear that made my labour easier. Good luck 🤞

Squatting won't help if your baby is posterior
