Got my BFP This Morning - Worried about a few symptoms, help!

Morning all,

Been TTC 8 months and just got my BFP at 10DPO.

Am finding it hard not to feel terrified already. Ever since ovulation my nipples have been sore and yesterday the sides of my boobs were really sore, however today they feel almost completely fine. I’ve also just had a few tiny specs of blood when I wiped, but my temp is still high as you can see from my chart.

Did anyone else have any similar symptoms? I do feel scared if I’m honest and like I’m not able to get excited just yet, a little reassurance or advice would be great xx

Congratulations!

Try not to worry about the symptoms. They will come and go in the early days 😊

@MyCassiopiea thanks so much for your reply. That’s reassuring ☺️ Think I’m going to spend the next few days feeling a bit on edge to be honest, how is it still a shock when you’re actively trying 😂 I just didn’t ‘feel’ anything so wasn’t expecting it and now feel slightly terrified!

I was trying for over a year so was delighted to finally get my BFP. What I wasn't expecting was a sudden rush of anxiety too. After trying for quite a while I suddenly felt scared about losing it, and how to cope if that happened. Unfortunately early loss isn't uncommon but there isn't anything you can do to prevent it. Early pregnancy can through all sorts of funny symptoms at you too, every day is different. My advice would be too try and not worry, what will be will be, just enjoy each day as it comes now you are finally pregnant! Hopefully as time goes on you'll feel better & before you know it 12 week scan will be here. (I'm 3rd trimester now)

Oh and it doesn't help with hormones all over the place in terms of anxiety / mood!

@Skyla01 thanks so much :) that's really helpful and it's so good to be able to chat to people who have been through the same. I'm going to order some more tests, a couple of books and try to inform myself as much as I can, and otherwise try not to overthink it beyond that! Congrats to you too by the way xx

@MintGreenLife good luck! Perhaps don't do too many tests because they can sometimes cause anxiety in themselves.

Before I got my BFP I thought everything would be amazing & lovely once I became pregnant. Wishful thinking! Now there is a whole new world of worry, plus I felt very ill most of the first trimester. But just try to enjoy as much as you can, it will all work out in the end! I think it's normal to have some mixed emotions.

@Skyla01 thanks ☺️ I think I’ll do one a day over the next few days just to check line progression, and then will cool it on the tests 😂 I’m feeling a bit more excited now instead of scared, imagine it comes in ebbs and flows! X

I know how hard it is! I’m currently 20 weeks and every now and then it’s just surreal, I’m like, I don’t FEEL pregnant 😂

@Sexnotgender I honestly didn’t have a clue, I was prepared for a BFN. I didn’t feel any different, and you get loads of people who say ‘I just knew’ so you expect to feel the same 🤣 congrats by the way xx

Congratulations!
I remember feeling very crampy for the first few weeks and worrying a lot but apparently this is normal growing pains.
I would also panic when I would have 'symptomless' days with no nausea or fatigue at about week 10-14, but this is normal too!

@Lisa78Lemon thanks for replying, and thank you ☺️ I guess the reality is that all women are different and we all have different symptoms! I feel a bit calmer now I’ve had a few hours for it to settle in xx

Congratulations!
Definitely step away from the tests! You start second guessing it, that it's lighter than last time etc when it could be down to what time you've tested and various other things.
