Hi ladies

so the last week or so whoever I’ve seen have commented on my bump saying how low it is.. bet the baby will come early your so big Confused.... I know im big currently suffering from diabetes in this pregnancy so I’m already feeling quite low and then I’ve had to listen to family talk about how low my bump is and how they think baby will definitely be here early.. I’m getting quite paranoid because I’ve not packed nothing I’m 31 weeks....

A low bump doesn’t mean anything. Honestly tell them all to off and focus on staying positive. Definitely get your bags packed ready though my midwife was nagging me to do mine at 28 weeks

Just today really it got to me.. it’s not how are you feeling or how’s it all going.. straight away it’s about the bump or omg your so big... I’m thinking I’m 31 weeks so obviously I will be big.. and this is my 2nd so I was showing more sooner.. with the diabetes I no myself I have a high chance that the baby could be growing bigger then normal..

I don’t even no where to start with my bag lol.. like do I go all out and make sure both bags are packed baby and me? Or do I do mine first and then baby’s later on lol with my first I was super organised

@Miss2820 I'm huge, have been since about 8 weeks 😅 all I ever got was oh is it twins? Or you must be due soon. Are you sure there's only one? This was random strangers! It got so bad and I got so upset that my oh would say 'we have x amount of weeks to go, and yes there is only one' anytime anyone so much as asked about the bump 😅 I'm now 37 weeks. I've had my bag packed since 32 weeks as I was high risk for preterm labour/cord prolapse and now I'm being tested for diabetes, which I'm fairly sure I don't have. Just wanted to say you're not alone with the comments!

I’m also with you @Miss2820 - I’m 28weeks and have looked ready to pop since about 16 weeks? The Tesco assistant said “ooh we don’t want you going into labour right now do we!? Heehee!” I was 20 weeks.

Obviously I didn’t tell her that, I said I was only 35 weeks and haven’t been in since 🤣

I would not recommend that way of dealing with things and instead practice a nice death stare or eye roll. But I’m with you in solidarity!

I actually am having twins so I get the double whammy.... "your bump is huge are you sure there's only one in there" - "no there's two" .... "oh your bump doesn't look big enough for 2".

All from people with absolutely no qualification to comment on anything pregnancy related. It's so rude and I've started snapping at people who offer their opinions/advice without being asked. I've had nearly a whole pregnancy of stress and worry with growth scans and issues with the babies and have been under fetal medicine for the whole pregnancy so I have absolutely no time for anyone other than medical professionals offering their opinions.

Unfortunately everyone feels like they have a right to comment on a pregnant ladies bump I feel like it's an unwritten rule for those that feel the need to say something.. unfortunately I'm quite obviously pregnant now at 34 with twins but when I wasn't so big and someone said something I wish I had said I wasn't pregnant make them think twice about commenting next time! Obviously if your happy to talk about it then that's fine.
Being twins I've had mine packed since about 26/27 weeks just incase but with my first I think I packed it about 36 ish weeks but had a good idea and list of stuff I was going to pack so if anything happened early I'd just Chuck a load of stuff together and just made sure the clothes I wanted to take in with me were at least mostly always clean xx

I get the same, im 32 weeks and the amount of people that ask me if I'm sure I'm due in January is unreal. Like yes I'm pretty sure. Or wow you won't last till Christmas or you're going to have a Christmas baby you're so low already. It does get annoying after a while.

Low bump here too (also 31 weeks) - so much that it's hard to do a yogi squat. I guess some people just carry lower - or some babies prefer to be low down? When I look at bump pics, mine is definitely lower than most of them. There also seems big variance on size/ protrusion! If your midwife isn't worried, I'd ignore the comments.

I've not packaged my bags yet either!

I didn’t even notice my bump was low lol my husband just says your so big lol.. well I’m seeing my midwife on the 1st so will no if I am low or not not that it matters to me...

The bag situation I don’t even no where to start I think I have enough baby clothes but can’t remember how much I packed last time especially with covid I don’t wanna be running low on things as I no there will be restrictions in place etc

People are so rude! Tell them to get lost, you have better things to focus your time on! Everyone's bump is different, if the midwife is concerned she will tell you xxxxx

People love to comment and they mostly talk shit.

In both my pregnancies people have told me I was having a boy (one of them was!), that I would deliver early because my bump was so low (they were both ‘overdue’ and actually DD didn’t even engage until I was in labour), and that I was ‘huge’ (both measured bang on for dates).

I was huge with dd, everyone commented twins 🙄.
She weighed 8lb 6oz so a decent size but not the 11 pounder some rude people thought!
