What did your baby sleep in downstairs?

Just that really!

I have a next2me crib for upstairs, but wondering what to use for daytime naps when downstairs!

Don't want to spend a lot so any ideas welcome! I thought Moses basket but don't they outgrow them quickly?

We had the carrycot for the pram in a Moses basket stand so that doubled up for downstairs and also had a poddle pod which was good for naps and used to take it with us when we visited grandparents etc (when that was a thing 😢) x

After the Moses basket they slept either on me- we watched lots of line of duty- or in their bouncy chair/ on their playmat

DS slept on me or on the sofa (next to me).

As he's gotten older he napped in his travelcot until he outgrew it.

We used the carrycot for the pram downstairs - no special stand just on the chassis for the pram - for DC3. DCs 1 and 2 had a Moses basket downstairs which they were in for about 6 months. By 6 months they all napped upstairs in their cots so it wasn't an issue.

Babies 1 and 3 slept on me and nowhere else. Baby 2 we had the soft carrycot that came with the Phil and Ted Pram (it’s called a cocoon) she slept brilliantly in that.

Moses basket while newborn and then after about 3/4 months her naps went to the wall anyway so they were mostly on me, in bed with me or in the buggy while walking.

I live in Scotland so we got a baby box free, not sure if you have that option in your area?
My wee guy loved it, slept better in that rather than the next to me, my friends found the same with their baby box, think the babies feel really safe and cocooned due to the walls off the box.
Would really recommend it so if you get the option off a baby box, definitely try it x

We got a baby box and a Moses basket but she hated both as DC had reflux.
DC slept on me for all naps apart from when we were out and about until 13 months.

DD is in a moses basket, but we also have a swinging crib we were given as an alternative.

Have a look at eBay for local collection, or Facebook/Gumtree. There are some for sale near me for £5 including bedding and stand. New mattress is about £10.

Just looked up the baby box. What a wonderful idea.

Sleepyhead, yes they’re not recommended but it was a lifesaver for us and caused zero issues.

Moses basket upstairs and baby box downstairs, I'm in the Midlands and got mine free after taking a 20 minute questionnaire, took a few weeks to arrive though. Absolutely loved it. It's now storing baby clothes on top of my wardrobe

DD slept in a purflo on the sofa/floor! She loved it and was always in eyesight so no concerns

I consider it my best baby purchase!

Baby usually slept on me or in a sleepyhead.

After dd out grew Moses basket she napped in the next to me and I'd have a lie down in bed or nap next to her, or bouncy chair or pushchair in same room as me (I'd be awake).
Would definitely recommend option one - for first baby try to rest when they do in the early months!

We have a travel cot with a bassinet for daytime naps..... But she only really sleeps on me, occasionally I can move her on to the feeding pillow or bouncy chair

I plan on getting a Moses basket and stand. I've seen both for about £50 online- I don't want to spend much on it as they won't be in it too long!
