Thanks @danielasummer for doing that!

@MummyShark97 I'm in a local lockdown and the same rules as before, only when in active labour and they have to leave not long after the birth 😥

Sorry @danielasummer, not been online all day. Whoever told you my due date is correct! It will be a surprise gender wise and I'm an FTM.

@Mummyshark97 My area has barely come out of lockdown! I think we were out of lockdown for a total of 2 weeks. My hospital still has really tight restrictions, partners there for active labour only and no visits, they aren't allowed to any scan etc either. I've given up any hope of it changing.

I finally have an appointment with the Consultant Midwife on Monday to discuss the possiblity of an elective C-Section and do a birth plan. It's all starting to get scary/exciting now! Everything is washed and ready to go in the hospital bag, just waiting for my big pants to arrive. Flu jab is booked for tomorrow, there is less and less left to do on my to-do list!

I have started to organise my hospital bag today I have so many clothes to wash I have brought way too much, I’ve been over excited. I didn’t know if I was going to get a chance to be a mum counting the days 💖🥰

@lionsmum sorry to hear your story, my miscarriages were bad enough getting in to the late stages is unimaginable I hope we all have straight forward births and healthy babies in our arms 😇

@danielasummer thanks so much for putting all the dates together- it is so exciting for us all! I’m also a FTM and gender is a surprise, sorry should have said! Xx

Erm can’t say I experienced this but could be all the new hormones @Starrr123

Starrr123 · 07/10/2020 22:26

@Babyhope98 ok. You dont think its anything to worry about ? Im gonna leave it till next week. And see how it is xx

Report
Babyhope98 · 07/10/2020 22:30

How itchy is it? So much is going on your body has a lot of hormones floating around. The only thing that can be of concern with itchy skin is ICP with your liver, but this is later on in pregnancy. If you are worried you could mention it to your doctor and you should have your booking appointment around 8/9 weeks with midwife x @Starrr123

Starrr123 · 07/10/2020 22:35

@Babyhope98 its bot painful its just on and off. I had a blood test last week and my liver came back normal. Hopefully its just hormones. Ill see how it goes till next week and if its carries on then ill call my doctor and see what he says. I started to feel very ill at 1 week! As crazy as it sounds so maybe my hormones are super high! Xx

@danielasummer the list is looking fab, thank you so much!

@Babyhope98 I'm sorry you've experienced losses too, none are comparable and each as difficult in their own right. Yes we lost our son last year at 6 days old following complications from what would have been a life-saving surgery, there was no plan B sadly. It was the most heartbreaking experience. I'm so glad we are both near the end of our journeys to bringing these little ones home!

@lc86 I'm going for section instead of BVAC, for lots of different reasons but my section experience the last time was really calm and lovely. @Pinktruffle good luck with your appointment! I'll hopefully get my flu jab too next week. You're very organised!

I just can't seem to bring myself to pack a hospital bag for myself or baby yet... it's the only thing I can't bring myself to do! Feel it's going to be a very last minute thing😅

The first trimester was exhausting for me, the body goes through a lot.. They can keep testing your liver every week if it continues, which could keep your mind at ease. Hope it gets better x @Starrr123

@Pinktruffle @ic86 thanks both of you!

It is all a bit rubbish but that's also about what I was expecting so at least it's not any worse ☹️. Wish it could be different for all of us!

@danielasummer thank you!

That's good to know @lionsmum I'm 80% decided on a c section.. don't think there's anymore research I can do.. I just need a crystal ball xx

Such a good idea with the list, well done for writing it all @danielasummer. It's so exciting thinking some babies will be joining us in a months time😍

I'm getting more anxious to the point of crying every night from the thought of having to be in hospital alone without my OH there for all of the labour and afterwards. I don't think the rules for my hospital will change before I am due

Thanks so much for the list and the new thread @danielasummer

So sorry to hear of your loss @lionsmom and you are so right to talk about it. Us women are only just starting to get better at being more open about things. I can't imagine what you went through

Here I am again in the wide awake club. Had our first antenatal class last night which made it feel very real, a big section on hospital bags so going to make that my mission this weekend I think

Hi Everyone. I was on this thread a couple of threads back and stopped using Mumsnet for awhile. I'm due the 30th of November FTM with a little boy all going well. been in and out if doctors and hospital a lot due to raised CRP in my bloods indicating infection or inflammation. Still haven't figured out why this is happening. Baby is doing great though moving loads and over 4lb now @week 32.

@lionsmum You should definitely share your story, I think everyone should be more open if they are able to be about losses, it is still such a taboo subject. The more people start to talk about it the better. I think (have never personally experienced it) that feeling alone or like you are the only one can't make it any easier. very sorry for you loss.

@roro87 welcome back! We have the same due date! Thanks @danielasummer for setting it up. It makes it seem more real and like we really are into the final stretch. My arm is feeling better today after whooping cough so I think I’ll start washing too!

I'm so excited we're all so close now! Washing my baby's clothes today. I'm contemplating swapping some clothes for a bigger size as I feel like I've got way too much for 0-3 but not sure. Do you think 11 sleepsuits aged 0-3 months are too much? I have this packet of 3 from M&S which I can exchange for a 3-6 until the 15th. I know babies grow really quick and I wanna make good use of everything I have bought!!
