MMC - medical management

Hi.
Last week at our private scan at 8+6 scan we discovered we had had a Mmc - baby was about 7+3.
All staff were wonderful and we've had a few days to see if my body would realise and start the mc naturally. No luck.

I'm due to have medical management tomorrow and to say I'm petrified is an understatement. Nurses told me what it could be like, I've read a few things and my friends have all sent wishes but I'm stuck between 'it's going to be awful and I won't be able to stand up from the goings on' to 'it'll be a bad period pain'.
I have always had light periods and the pain is very manageable so all the 'worse case scenario' talk is freaking me out a little. Would my previous heaviness of period have anything to do with why I can expect?
I'm a little wary to ask this, but..... Actually how bad is what I am about to experience?

Sorry you’re going through this.
For me it was almost pain free - same story for two of my friends who have had medical management as well at similar gestation, 7-8 week size. I would definitely choose it again if I needed to (though I think we are now done - if it makes you feel better I had my medical management last August and am I hospital with my 1 day old as we speak!).
I know it can be variable though - best to just make sure you’ve had some pain medication as well, heat pack and support person on hand. Very occasioNally it can be sore enough to need to go into hospital.

@WOWwhatayear I'm sorry you had this experience. How are you doing?

I've just seen this post but am interested in your experience as I'm due to have medical management on Monday next week, assuming my body doesn't do it naturally in the mean time. If you feel able to share how you have / are finding it, id be grateful.

Sending you a hug and a handhold. Thanks
