Pregnancy

I just can't cope anymore

I've really hit a wall the last week or so and just can't cope.
I have a 14 month old, I'm 12 weeks pregnant, I work at 3am-9:30am 4 days a week, my partner works 2pm-10:30pm 6days a week.
I'm really struggling.
My manager is refusing to cut my hours or help me AT ALL.
All my family live 4 hours away, I have no one who can even watch DD whilst I have a bath or nap etc.
I just don't know what to do anymore :(

I can't ring the GP and ask for help as it's too late and I will have to wait until Monday now.
I'm meant to be at work at 3am but I just can't do it.
I really can't cope right now

Please give yourself a break hun. I would call boss and tell them you are having the day off. You need to focus on yourself or you will burn yourself out

Ring in sick for tomorrow/weekend. Its pregnancy related so they cannot penalise you or discriminate against you. Speak to the drs on Monday. Make sure you're 100% open and honest as to how you're feeling. If you dont feel like you're getting the right support ring the midwifes. I hope you get some help x

I agree with the other posters. Your health is more important than work right now.

If you can't get through to your doctor until Monday, there are some things you could do on the Mind website www.mind.org.uk/need-urgent-help/using-this-tool

I hope you can get the help you need x

What do you want help from the GP with? Night shift working and a toddler? You need a childminder or nursery or nanny so you can actually sleep and function.

Surely your partner can step up in the mornings and look after his child whilst you have bath and a nap? I do appreciate it must be incredibly hard.

Without looking after the obvious wellbeing of yourself, you are going to crash out.

Why is it your partner can’t look after your child in the mornings when you’re back from work?

You need a childminder or a nursery OP. It's really not your manager's problem that you're struggling with childcare. I'm not sure what you want your GP to do - sign you off? But that will only be for a couple of weeks. You need to sort things out properly and long-term. This really isn't going to get easier unless you do.

I’m afraid I agree with others who’ve suggested some form of childcare.
However,I’d like to understand who is looking after the toddler when both you and DP are both at home.
Is his peace and quiet time deemed more important than yours?

I think that you need to expand on the issues.
I presume you sleep for some of the 10-2 while your oh has lo? And then at night?
If not then the issue is your oh...
Is this a planned pregnancy?
