Currently 34 weeks pregnant and with birth on my mind just wondering when other mums went into labour with their first?

I have a feeling baby will be early but not sure if that’s just my wishful thinking 😂🙈

40+2 but by going by LMP/date of conception, I would say 40 on the nose!

Mine came on his due date, labour started at 6am and he was here at 13:51 a very chunky healthy baby at 9lb x

He arrived bang on 37 weeks.
However I'd been having contractions (noted as braxton hicks because I was managing and they didn't settle into rythmn) for 3 days. They only started on the 'expected' 3 in 10 minutes about an hour before I arrived at the mat unit and he came 20 minutes later.
I was adament he would be late because DH has the worst time management skills 😂

39+6, and she was born on her due date

Report
Frazzlerock · 08/09/2020 09:10

At 41+4 my waters finally broke but no contractions at all, so I had to be induced (which I was due to have done the following day anyway).

18 hours later and, after ventouse, forceps and then an EMCS, all 9lb 12 of him was born.

Report

I was induced. Had pessary at lunchtime-ish when I was 42 weeks, went into labour around 2.30am the next morning and he was born just before 5.15. I don't know any women in my family who haven't gone significantly past the EDD with their first!
