So I'm just abit peeved..... after csection that went not to plan placenta abrubtion... I'm moved to post natal after 10 hrs.... I've been here 2 hours... Nobody has mentioned a word to me literally nothing not a hi etc etc.... I physically can't get out of bed and they have left the call buzzer hooked to the wall.... Light on curtains open and been sat no check on inco for last 6 hours.... I know it's messy 🙄 I've a drain in and suction machine for infection the machine has stopped making a noise?? And I've tried quietly saying anyone available
As lots of mums n babies..... Nothing..... 😭😭

Please don't feel cheeky. You deserve better care than this.

I experienced this, didn't say anything at the time as didn't want to make a fuss.

Please ring the phone op! Major surgery so you should be given help and certainly mobilised and cleaned up at a bare minimum. Have they helped you stand yet and go to the toilet? If not then they definitely need to be getting baby in and out of the cot for you.

Congratulations on your baby.

Are there any other mums awake nearby who could perhaps call a staff member for you?
If not, i would give them a call on your mobile.
Congratulations on your baby.

Thankyou, I'm not allowed to be mobile until tomorrow and guess I should have had a set if obs done as there's chance I could need transfusion as my iron level is dropping.... Its so hot on the ward to that's just a normal moan 😂 the other mum is currently snoring away

They should check your iron level before discharge. Should be doing your blood pressure regularly though.
How are you doing pain relief wise? You can ask for something like oramorph if you've only been given paracetamol and ibuprofen, doesn't interfere with breastfeeding if you are.
I'm sure the ward was 40 degrees when I had DC - she slept and I didn't as was dripping in sweat.

@JamieLeeCurtains

Can you reach your phone?

Something about the fact that OP is posting on here suggests to me that she can ...

Firstly, congratulations on your baby.

This is not good enough, ring them if you have to. I had no obs all night and my iron and blood pressure had crashed, wish I had made a fuss. You need looking after.

I had a similar problem after having dd. I yelled at a poor cleaning lady because she didn't want to pass me my screaming baby and I couldn't reach her. I then refused to sleep all night so I wouldn't squash her but refused to let the nurse take her off me as I didn't trust anyone to give her back if she cried. It was a long night. Ring them. And congratulations!
