Hi there, I'm 36weeks and started struggling with rib pain, swollen painful fingers, if I stand for more than 15 min my lower back and feet ache, heartburn in the evening and at night. Luckily I'm going on maternity leave soon. What helps coping with these last weeks of pregnancy? Staying active, stretching? Drinking milk for heartburn? Any real tips that helped would be greatly appreciated! I've gained about 15kg, till last week felt absolutely fine. I don't think I'm getting enough sleep because of all the pains and aches. Help!

Yes I recommend stretching. It’s hard to get started but the more you do the more it helps. Don’t expect miracles but perhaps google pregnancy yoga

Spinning babies website also has some great exercises

A good mix of rest and gentle exercise is the best way to get through these last slow weeks!!

@SassyPants87 oh yes, love my yoga ball, also got a shiatsu massager for my shoulders.

@Gerdticker good idea, I'll try yoga tomorrow, I used to do lots of it before pregnancy/lockdown but got lazy.

You sound like me @Viletta
I'm 37 +2 and I've felt like you for a few weeks now.
Swollen feet and fingers, back and pelvic pain and the heartburn..... 😫😫😫
My only piece of advice is Gaviscon for the heartburn, plenty of water for the swelling and gentle walks.
As for the stretching, don't stretch your abdomen, just hips rolls on your yoga ball, gentle leg stretches. Over stretching can do more harm than good!
Grit your teeth and baby will be here before you know it! At least that's what I'm hoping for me anyway! 🤪

@lockdownpregnancy glad to hear I'm not the only one! Gaviscon and lots of water is a great advice, I'll make sure I get some today. Hope you are coping well, not long now!
