So I was told almost a month ago that I had a early miscarriage and I was only 6 and a half weeks when I found out the pregnancy had ended but I'm still getting positive tests nearly a month since then.. when will they go back to normal ? I stopped bleeding about a week ago

@babybooyaa some of the hormone remains in your body, have you contacted epu to ask their advice? There may be some pregnancy tissue remaining. So sorry to hear you have been through a mc xx

I'm so sorry for your loss. You definitely need to get in contact with your hospital and ask for them to scan you to see if any tissue remains.

@babybooyaa

So sorry you are going through this. Flowers

I had a missed miscarriage last September (baby didn't progress beyond about 6 weeks but it wasn't confirmed until I would have been nearly 11 weeks). I had surgical management but then continued to get positive tests for another 3 months, despite a second scan at the EPU showing that nothing had been left behind. They said for some women unfortunately it takes longer than usual for your hormone levels to return to normal, but I know how hard it is Sad. Do go back and ask for another scan to check nothing is left and reassurance. I hope your body recovers soon. Flowers

I've had 3 scans so far and the sonographer told me the lining is so thin that there is nothing there to come out. I just don't feel like I can try to move on from this until I get a negative test. What's weird as well is I had no symptoms of pregnancy which is what made me worry something was wrong and now I've started to feel really nauseous which is making me feel pregnant. I wonder if my mind is making my body play tricks on me because I so badly want there to be a miracle and for everything to actually be okay

Could u be pregnant again? It’s common to fall pregnant straight away as apparently you are more fertile after a loss. I did.

Maybe take a weeks indicator test and see what it says

It took a few weeks for mine to turn negative though I could see they were getting fainter about a week after it starting, I was 7 weeks. I was pregnant again the next cycle. I had a strange short cycle after I miscarried where I didn't ovulate (not surprising as I was still getting positive tests) then I got pregnant again right away. It could potentially be a new pregnancy, if that's a possibility for you?

Surely I couldn't be pregnant again when I've only just miscarried.? That would be crazy?! but I've only just seen your reply's and actually was thinking this earlier. Maybe I will try and get another scan and see what they say

The hormones can take a while to drop. A woman I have on my Facebook had a miscarriage September last year and still had pregnancy symptoms recently. She had loads of tests done but had no answer as to what was happening to her but her body hadn’t registered the pregnancy loss and she still had all the hormones etc

A bit of advice on the other side I had a loss 27th July mmc at around 6 weeks anyway all my tests went negative then I suddenly got a 2-3 3 days ago on a clear blue I am now pregnant again without a period in between

I would follow up with your early pregnancy unit for advice

@babybooyaa I was pregnant again exactly 4 weeks after my 6 week miscarriage. It’s possible
