Hi everyone,

This is more of a moaning post to get things off my chest!

Just turned 40 weeks and a FTM, I feel so miserable. I’m so achey, Braxton Hicks a lot of the time and just generally exhausted.

Most of my pregnancy has gone pretty fast but the last few weeks have dragged beyond belief.

Midwife appointment booked for Wednesday and probably will have a sweep so fingers crossed things will get moving soon.

So grateful for my little baby but just feeling abit low and sorry for myself. Anyone else felt/feeling like this at the end?

Same here! I'm 40+3 FTM and feeling very sorry for myself. Unlike you I've not had any BH or signs of labour at all and feel like my boy's never going to arrive at this rate.

To make matters worse my midwife couldn't perform a sweep at my appointment yesterday because the birth centre was too full already so I've got the hump about that as well! Everyone says to enjoy the last few days/weeks of peace but it's so hard to! 😕

@hmfair54 oh bloody nora! Are you booked in for another?
I feel your pain. I know everyone is trying to be helpful saying ‘enjoy the last few weeks’ but currently there’s nothing to enjoy (other than knowing baby will be here soon).
It’s nice to know other people are feeling the same and I’m not alone.
Fingers crossed for both of us they make an appearance soon🤞😍

Same! I'm 40+5 and really feeling sorry for myself. I've had a lot of BH, especially over the past few days and I've developed an awfully itchy rash on the stretch marks across the bottom of my bump. Midwife attempted a stretch and sweep on wednesday but couldnt complete it and seems to have made no difference.

Hopefully we'll all have some relief and our babies with us soon!

@Jam8 Midwife's supposed to be ringing this morning to organise one for today if there aren't too many people having babies again! 🤞🏻

If you can, make plans to see friends. Go for walks.
Enjoy spending time getting ready, doing hair & make up (if that’s your thing)
I went 10 days over, so know the feeling. But try and have something to look forward to every day.
Good luck! It won’t be long now xxx
