I know it's been mentioned a few times on the other thread but..does anyone have 'quiet days' when it comes to kicks? I'm 25+3 now and since around 22 weeks the kicks have been strong pretty much most of the day and the evening. Some days now though I don't feel the baby move for what feels like hours, then I worry and I feel some light kicks. I know they say not to monitor for patterns until 28 weeks but I know my baby's pattern already and can't help but worry that movement has slowed down. Am I alone in this or is it normal?

@danielasummer I seem to have this, for some reason it usually seems to be on the weekend too or I don't know if I just notice more on the weekend. I'll have a few days where baby is really active and then a really quiet day or so and then back to being really active. It makes me a little anxious. I've already been in to hospital twice for reduced movements and the baby has always been fine thank God. I feel like I'm being a hypochondriac and don't want to just go in when its nothing.

@Pinktruffle I feel exactly the same as you! I'm glad I'm not the only one but sorry this is also causing you worry. I'll spend maybe 30 minutes with my hand on my belly getting myself stressed, then I'll feel the faintest movement and tell myself I was being a hypochondriac, whereas in reality we're just caring for our little babies aren't we. It's a crazy time!

Had our 4d scan today, was so nice to see him again 💙 they couldn't get a great view of baby's face as he was cuddled into the placenta lol, which was fine. But they offered us a free rescan in two weeks 😊 which we thought was lovely of them as it wasn't their fault about his position! Bought a heartbeat bear when we got there as my husband turned into a big softie and wanted it. We used babyscan uk in Cwmbran and I would 100% recommend

Not the best pic, he was too cwtched up to the placenta 🙊

@Snowwhite2020 honestly the amount I wake through the night is ridiculous, I sit there wanting to cry sometimes where I'm so tired!

@danielasummer I get this, try drinking a cold fizzy drink and then lying on your side, I find he is really active after about 10 mins of that 😊

When exactly can we start eating this extra 200 calories? That's what I want to know...

Haha @chubbyhotchoc I'm way ahead of you on that one 🤣

@chubbyhotchoc umm maybe 13 weeks ago for me? 😅

Report
danielasummer · 29/08/2020 22:00

@lc86 thanks, will try doing that with ice cold water. It's so strange how some days the kicks are so big and powerful and other days I have to really concentrate even for the teeniest movement! Lovely scan photo by the way and amazing you get to have another one 🥰

@danielasummer I agree, some days it feels like a disco in there and other days not so much depending on his position, which doesn't help the nerves! Thank you 😊

@Ic86 I've tried the ice cold drink and lying on my side and it doesnt seem to work with my little one, it's obviously hiding really well on those days or a stubborn little bugger!
You are right @danielasummer we are just being good mums by worrying but I think the midwives will be rolling their eyes at me if I keep going in! I've already noticed that its shown up on my oine notes under the 'risks' section.

I had a couple o f massive nose bleeds today, I've had small ones where I've just found blood on a tissue after wiping my nose etc throughout the pregnancy but I thought they would ease off. Today's were really bad!
