Having family visit after birth

So I live with my partner, and mother-in-law and I'm due in just a few months time. There has been a few conflicts between myself and my MIL leading up to baby's arrival nothing major just small disagreements and were have always been very close. We were hoping to have moved out by now but of course lockdown 😔

Now the question I have is has anyone living with in laws had them invite family to stay in the home when baby is due? I overheard my MIL inviting her daughter(my sister in law) and 2 kids both under 10 to stay in the same month I'm due. Am I being unreasonable in not wanting to have them stay with us when I'm still getting used to being a new mum? Is it unreasonable to expect to be part of a Conversation in who stays in the house? And just a side note it is MIL house but me and my partner pay all the rent.

Of course I love my SIL and kids and would love to see them and have them meet baby but having them stay is a different thing.

Please opinions please xx

It depends I guess. If you’re due the end of the month, and they’re invited to come at the start of the month I’d say that’s totally fine.
Although if you pay all the rent it isn’t great she hasn’t asked you.
I went to 42 weeks, so would have welcomed the distraction. But I guess 37 weekers May disagree. Take care xxx

A month is a long time, and them visiting before the baby arrives is probably no biggy.
I think your MIL is thoughtless but it's not your house and whilst I appreciate you pay rent you don't have an equal say in visitors (I used to be a lodger and the etiquette is different to when you're equal tenants).

You still have a few months. Why can’t you get your own place?
