One Step pregnancy test .... please no hate or judgment

I could really use opinions or thoughts please! I just took these 5 tests today..... the top 2 were around 2 pm and the other 3 were just now!

I had a little fun with a good friend who is also single we didn’t use protection but I am now scared it may have split! This was not planned Hence using protection etc! Please no negativity this is not a bragging post or anything, I just need a supportive or friendly ear as I am alone and family are fractured and no female friends to confide in..... I guess what I’m asking is

How accurate are the one step cheapies you buy on eBay/ amazon??

I don’t have regular periods due to pcos and have to take provera every 3/4 months to induce a bleed! My last provera bleed was 1-6 July after stopping my course of provera 10 days prior to this! I have just recently been told by my fertility doctor I won’t get pregnant naturally as he doesn’t believe I am ovulating and that my egg quality is seriously poor so I would be lucky so to speak or unlucky as in his words would not be viable and end in miscarriage again! 😢💔

I tried to add as much detail as possible and will attach some pictures. I'm so sorry for the long thread/ post just could do with some support! 💜💗

I would definitely say those are positive. These type of tests can be bad for evaporation lines however I think there are pretty clear pink lines on all of those tests x

They look positive to me. Whatever the outcome you have options Flowers

They definitely look positive, what made you take a test? Have you got symptoms? I hope it goes the way you want🤞🏻

Thank you for your replies! it's tough not having anyone around me for support so the fact I got replies is lovely! 💜

I don't really know what to think etc.... I don't event know what made me test other than being more tired than usual! I saw the top 2 faint ones and thought I was imagining it so tried again not long ago with the other 3 and they came up pretty quickly! Which I couldn't believe!

More tired recently & my breasts were a little more tender than usual. I just don't quite feel myself a bit tearful etc ......... it was the first signs with my last pregnant which unfortunately ended in miscarriage! I just thought best to check if it's that or make an app at the gp kind of thing! 💜💗

Looks very clearly positive to me. Flowers

They look positive to me too. I'd make an appointment with your GP and try using one of the more reliable tests if you can for confirmation.

No matter how responsible people try to be, sometimes contraception fails, so dont be too hard on yourself and don't let other people be hard on you either.

Take a bit of time to think about what you want to do - we're here if talking to us would help.

They look poverty pink and positive to me. Don’t beat ur self up. My contraception failed on me ten years ago when I was young and on the rebound, I now have a very independent 9 year old.

If this pregnancy progresses against all the odds that have come ur way with conceiving then I would think it was meant to be ❤️ Good luck

Very pink not poverty*

Cheap tests are just as good. Agree they look Positive. What are your thoughts OP? Did you want children?

Report
FluffyBunnyTails · 09/08/2020 18:50

I've used them in all my pregnancies and they've shown correctly positive.

Other possibility is that you are ovulating and the hormones are so high, it's showing positive. Not sure whether this can happen though

Thank you all for your lovely understanding replies you have made me want to cry!

I would love more than anything to be a mum, having battled with pcos/ pituitary tumour and multiple heartbreaking losses over the past almost 11 years! Having just turned 29 I guess I juts accepted my fate so to speak since it's Ben negative outcomes year after year and having the latest news the end of July! About poor egg quality and not likely to be ovulating hence not having periods and needing provera to give a breakthrough bleed every 3-4 months!

I was to be fair beating myself up about it and fretting and feeling stupid, I couldn't control what happened neither of us so to speak and I know hese things can happen! Due to my pcos etc plus other endocrine issues I'm not allowed any contraception so have to rely on condoms which are religiously used!

I juts don't know how he will react if I'm honest!

He is already a dad to two wonderful children from his previous relationship. They have shared custody and they work together and back each other up parenting wise etc I just don't know how this would go down! I'm ok if things do progress and things work out to do it alone I don't expect a proposal or him to be with me so to speak!

@PearlHeart I hope this works out for u and sounds like I deserve it. Take it easy and look after urself first. If he wants to be involved then great! If he doesn’t then that’s fine, being a single parent can be a blessing and can be done! That’s me speaking from Experience. Best of luck xx

@2020wish
Thank you for your kind words!
I hope so to, but I have to almost remain neutral and not get my hopes up!

I will take some time, things almost see to go in hyperdrive from the get go!

Thank you, that's so very true! It's his choice but either way I shouldn't let it effect how I feel about it all! Thanks you for the reassurance 💜💗

I found a test I had in the house the dreaded blue dye 🙈
I haven't been able to get to the local chemist as I have been caring for my elderly neighbour who has dementia! The past pew days we have had a nigh with phone scammers etc!

I decide why not take the one I had till I can get to the shops! I don't believe blue eyes at all!
The line has colour but it's quite faint! Was taken within time frame & got invert pics too!

I think I should just give up with tests ..... I don't want to go buy an expensive one just to be let down or have the same thing happen as before have 4 positive first response clear positives and then be told I'm not pregnant

These are the the top 2 are : 1/9/20 ( afternoon test 2 hour hold at most)

The second 3 are : 2/9/20 (mid afternoon no hold)

The third are today at 12.30 (no hold) : 3/9/20

I just don't want the embarrassment / shame and looking like an idiot going to the gp for confirmation of something that doesn't exist and looking bad!

I would definitely try a FRER at this point. And if that doesn't give you any clearer answers I'd be booking a GP appointment.

Report
PearlHeart · 03/09/2020 17:11

I will give the GP a call tomorrow and see what they say! I think it’s because I have been treated so badly previously with miscarriages & then when I had 4 clear positives being told I’m not pregnant but going on to have a further 3 positives and being told they are wrong .... I think that it’s put me off!

I know I shouldn’t let it affect me as these things need checked up on and no not to worry I did think it could be that myself or that something wrong!

But I don’t get periods and have to take provera every 3 months to induce a bleed they don’t know if I’m ovulating but apparently if I am the quality is very poor 😢 so my last round of provera induced bleed was 1-6 July.... and I wouldn’t be due to take it again till October! So I wouldn’t even know how far along I would or should be or anything?

You've been through an awful experience and I don't blame you one bit feeling the way you do. Knowing the answer might not be as awful as it is tormenting yourself over not knowing. You need to look after you xx

I called the gp and have to call back on Monday! I asked if I could get bloods to get a definitive answer one way or another but they seemed reluctant Again!
Reception was more interested and n trying to get me to book with my midwife to get my blue folder etc and be registered with the midwifes over anything else!

Hopefully I get to speak to someone on Monday and they will agree to do bloods!y fertility consultant has put on my notes that any positive urine tests must be followed by bloods to check levels I believe it's due to my pcos.

Thank you, me too!
I just don't want to think about it in some ways.

It's either all been a cruel joke (15 positive test) but they were all false....
I'm pregnant and it's a case of waiting to miscarry like previously or it's not viable so waiting for the inevitable to happen .........

I guess I don't have much faith at all in a positive outcome.... it's lovely to have wonderful ladies on that a forum as I literally have nobody in everyday life to talk to!
