Frer progression once you get a dye stealer? Worrying

Hey ladies
Sorry I’ve been posting so much past few days :/ ( I'm 5 weeks today )
Is anybody still testing with fRER’s to see progression? I have been even though I know I’m adding to the stress by doing so! Anyway . I got a dye stealer at 19 dpo ( top test in pic) and the. I left it a day and done another today at 21 dpo and I can’t see much difference ? It’s stressing me out ! I see so many people get an almost non existent control line by now where the dye has pulled completely. I can’t see any difference between by two tests . Any advice welcome xxx

Only advice would be to stop testing - you’re definitely pregnant. Stop stressing yourself out.

I never used these tests (cheap ones only and then one Clear Blue digital with the weeks indicator) but they are very clearly strong positives. It's easy to drive yourself mad with it all, I wouldn't test anymore if I were you Smile

I don't honestly see why you would continue testing once you have a positive. A pregnancy test won't tell you anything about the health of an embryo or the progression of the pregnancy.

I say this kindly, stop peeing on sticks.

I say this in the nicest possible way, you need to stop. I know early pregnancy is full of worries and this one is doing you no favours and really tells you nothing past this stage x

Stop. Everything is fine. If it’s not, you wouldn’t know by peeing on a stick anyway. Congratulations on your pregnancy

As above say! I also was a prolific tester but I think I stopped at about 18dpo....it will get to a point where they just wont get any darker
You have really strong positives there so please try and stop worrying!

Thanks ladies . I know it seems silly ! I had a stillbirth in 2014 which adds to my anxiety in pregnancy . I do have two children that I am so thankful for also . I hve had a few early losses also. Your all right though I need to stop testing x

Sorry to hear that. Perhaps if you need some extra reassurance you could contact your GP and arrange for a couple of blood hcg tests to see that they’re rising? Might be better to just try and wait out the days but some people find that quite helpful?

I understand the compulsion to test I really do!! 🤣 BUT there is absolutely no point in continuing to test with FRER at this point - I'd move on to clearblue digital with weeks and monitor when you get to 3+

For me, stopping this sort of thing cold actually helped me to control my anxieties. I personally wouldn’t seek reassurance from having more bloods/tests etc done as I found I’d have a fleeting high then be back to the thinking of blood results/scan/midwife doppler etc were only accurate for the time done and then would want more reassurance. I think the only way I really would have relaxed was being attached to a machine for the whole time.

I was about to say it’s your anxiety you need to worry about rather than the test lines but so sorry to hear about your losses.

One day at a time op, it’s all you can do. Very best of luck to you.
