Which wrap/sling?

Hi, I already have a bulky strap fastening carrier but I’m looking for a more intimate wrap that’s basically just material wrapping around baby and me, any recommendations are welcome, will want to use from newborn 😃

I used the Hana baby wrap, loved it. Stretchy, light & made from bamboo & cotton. Never thought I'd get on with it but it only took a little practice. Might be tricky at the moment but see if there's any sling libraries near you, they were really helpful.

@Mangomumma thanks. Sling libraries are great aren’t they, I went with my first and tried out a sling I really liked, but can’t remember for life of me what it was called and don’t think they are running them here atm

I tried several with both DC and the only one that was both simple to use and super supportive and comfy, was the Tula free to grow baby carrier. Lots of fab designs too. Pretty expensive, but I got it second hand on eBay as good as new

I highly recommend the Marsupi. It's not well known in the UK I think. It's a soft wrap that uses velcro. Super comfy and a lot easier to use than the ones you have to tie yourself ( personally I found this a massive faff). Also very easy to get baby in the right position.

The Close Caboo was great, so easy and comfy to use.

Have you seen if your local sling library is still running? Ours is running via Facebook videos and are still loaning different slings so people can try various ones.

I loved my Hanna wrap. Loads of good videos on line to help practice the tying.

Stretchy wraps are much of a muchness although I prefer a slightly thicker/stiffer one :) Boba was my preferred branded one out of those I have tried. Didn't get on with Kari-me or Hana - too stretchy/thin for my preference.

Woven wraps are also nice if you can do that kind of thing - I never got on with them which was sad because I wanted to love them!

I tried a few and found the Close Caboo the easiest. And very soft and light for babywearing around the house.
