Hey so my partner and I are expecting it's still early days. No one knows and it's our first
Looking for recommendations...
- the best apps to download for anything pregnancy related.
-the best books to buy
-anything else I should know
Thankyou in advance xxx
I wouldn't bother with books, everything you can find is online. The Bounty app was good, and the NHS website tells you everything you need to know. Try not to read things from too many places, as you'll start to get conflicting information!
Remember as well you'll never feel like you know everything. My DS is nearly 3 and I still feel like I'm winging it
Hi OP, congratulations on your pregnancy!!
Although you can read stuff online, I prefer having a book to hold (given that my life in lockdown is far too dominated by technology!)
My husband bought me 'The day by day pregnancy book' edited by Dr Maggie Blott (consultant obstetrician) and contributers are various GPs/gynaecologists/psychologists/midwives, so I don't think you could get a more accurate, evidence-based and professional write up tbh. Far more informative than NHS website, if you want more than the basic info that is.
I used the Flo app pre pregnancy which has a pregnancy mode too. It's not the best, but still ok to read. But I prefer reading the book each morning and so does my husband!
Congratulations! I use Ovia app at the moment and have lots of books, however reading too much is a bit overwhelming!!
