Tall ladies, what weight did you get to when pregnant?

Reading through the other thread about tall ladies/ weight just wondering what other tall women have put on while pregnant? I'm 5ft 10 and With my dd I went to 14st 5 ish but lost it quite quick. This time I fear I will go past that as I'm already 13st 10 at 22 weeks. Normally I'm just over 12 stone. I really try to keep an eye on my calories and don't go over 2000 cals but still seem to be gaining rapidly. Some family photos yesterday taken I looked like a monster on. I know you're suppose to embrace this time and lucky to be pregnant but hate feeling like a heffer.

I'm 5'9. I was about 12 stone when I got pregnant. Went to about 16 st!! Lost it in 9 months (but lost 2 stone of it within a month of birth).

@Blueuggboots thanks for replying. I think everyone expects you not to gain much because you're tall and baby supposedly had more room but I just seem to get thicker and thicker

9st normally, just about hit 12st. Much of that was earlyish on though, I definitely didn't suddenly balloon in the third trimester. Lost it without trying at all when breastfeeding.

Just stop measuring, OP. Scales are not your friend at this point in your life!

I’m 6 foot. With my first I went up to 11.5 stone and my second it was 14 stone Blush
I ate everything all day so that’s why !
Am now 12.5 stone and would like to get rid of a stone but it’s so hard to take the plunge back in to slimming world !

5'10 here. I have 4 children gsined more with each pregnancy and retained about 3 lbs each time! Good job I started out under weight. Most i got to was 14st.9lb at full term. Felt really heavy as I had some big babies especially ds at 9lbs 6oz. These weights seem huge for shorter ladies but for us tall ones they are in the normal range. Enjoy your pregnancies as much as you can but the babies are the best bit. Smile

@FourPlasticRings I know. I weigh myself every day and just feel awful watching it go up and up

I’m 5’11 and was 10 st 5 pre-pregnancy and went up to 14 st 5 with my first. I was carrying quite small and hadn’t put on much weight until about 28 weeks...then I just piled it on!

Took me over a year to lose most of the weight (got down to 11stone and that’s been my ‘good’ weight ever since).

I put on less weight with my 2nd pregnancy - 2.5 st rather than 4st - but that was largely because of extreme morning sickness in the first 5 months, so not recommended!

I'm 6ft and 3 weeks post partum and currently 15 stone. Hope to get back down to a healthy bmi within the year.

This was pregnancy no 2 and I definitly put on more this time (lockdown scuppered all my plans for swimming during pregnancy which I'm sure didn't help).

I'm just under 5'10 and I always measure in kg but I went from 78kg pre baby, which is close to being overweight anyway I believe using bmi, and I got up to almost 100kg right before DD was born. I've just done an online calculator and that's going from just over 12 stone to more than 15 and a half stone.
I think a lot of mine was water weight all over though, my legs and feet especially were very puffy and after the baby was born I lost almost a kg a day and got back down to around 80 kg within a few weeks I think, so I was very lucky that a lot was water weight/I think breastfeeding burned a lot of calories for me (I know it doesn't work that way for everyone)
Honestly I wouldn't worry about your weight unless your midwife/doctor does. I was moaning about being so heavy when I was full term to my midwife and she pretty much told me off and said that's what's supposed to happen and if my weight was a problem they'd have told me, so I really wouldn't worry about it! Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy and birth!!

I got really wide early on in the pregnancy but didn't really have a decent "bump" until I was about 24 weeks. I just felt WIIIIDDDEEEE! 🤣

I'm 24 +5, no idea what I weigh but I look massive!! From waist to neck i am huge! I don't know how much bigger i can get Hmm I'm only 5ft so not carrying it very well. My arms and legs and face all look the same as before, so I think it really stands out. Dreading how much bigger I can get!!

First pregnancy went from 11:9 to almost 16 stone though a lot was water retention as was swollen! This pregnancy I Started at 12.5 stone and refusing to weigh myself and in blissful ignorance, I’ve suddenly ballooned with swelling again so I’m anticipating I’ll be as heave if not heavier when d day comes/ if I need weighed at hospital for induction / csection etc I’m going to actively not look/ ask!
I havnt eaten everything in sight and exercising loads and still out on lots so honelsy don’t beat yourself up about it! Stop weighing daily, come over to the blissfully unaware side!

I'm 22 weeks and gained a stone so far. I start off at about 9st10 and I am 5ft4.
y previous pregnancies I put on 3 stone in total but lost the majority of it very quickly as they were huge babies and water placenta etc weighs a fair bit.

I'm desperately hoping I lose it quickly this time as we are due to get married 4 months after baby arrives! I'm having a c-section so can't even exercise for a good 6 weeks afterwards.
