Is anyone else pregnant with their 4th?
I'm 9 weeks pregnant with my fourth and I'm due February 22nd 2021. I have 3 kids - Theodore (Teddy) is 2 (3 in September), Charlotte (Charlie) is 1 (2 in August) and Benjamin (Benny) is 7 months (1 in December). In February I will have 4 under 4.

Hi.
I'm pregnant with DC4. Due January.
Ds is 10, dd1 is 8 and dd2 is 6.
How are you finding it? I'm not sure if it is because I am older but seem to be having lots more dramas this time round.
(Bleeding at 11 weeks, told I have low Papp-a)
I feel more anxious this time round than with my first!!
This will also be my last. x

@kim160790
I'm hoping for a girl too. I have 2 boys, 1 girl and I want another girl so that I will have 2 of each. I think it might actually be a girl because this pregnancy has been almost identical to my pregnancy with my Charlotte.

@Grumpy19
I'm finding this pregnancy pretty easy, I've had a little morning sickness. I am constantly nauseous and I threw up 2 or 3 times a day. This will be my last baby, 4 kids is definitely enough.

Hi! I’m really happy to find this thread!!

I’m pregnant with our 4th, my others are 11, 9 and 6. I had to have c-sections for each of them so have to with this one too, which I’m very nervous about. I’m due on the 14th March according to English due dates but apparently in France they calculate pregnancy as 41 weeks and not 40 😱 (I live in France now).

I’m only 6 weeks so we have only told close family, but I was wondering what kind of response you’ve had from people about having a 4th? Most of my family have been great, my brother (who’s a little up tight 👀) was a bit of dick about it (I think because I run a new, very small company that we’re both directors of). I’m not usually bothered about others opinions but for some reason, I’m nervous to tell people.

Completely understand how you feel.
I am 28 weeks and still wary of telling people because I don't want the comments! Luckily I've not been anywhere so I've avoided it so far, but I know once school starts there's no hiding it haha.
Ive not had any comments by the way, I just think other people will think "is she crazy??" because I kind of had that reaction when I had my 3rd.

Congratulations! Cake

Pregnant with my fourth here too! 19 weeks. I have 3 girls age 2, 3 and 4. We had the harmony test at 10 weeks so I know it’s a boy this time which is exciting! I haven’t told anyone apart from my mum yet as I can’t be bothered with the comments. But I can see people clocking my bump on the school run and wondering...!

@MrsK89 that’s one advantage of lockdown I suppose! Having 4 so close together is going to be a lot of fun, congratulations.

I had my first scan today (you get them at 6 weeks and then 10, 15 and 20 here). Too little too see much but glad to see something all the same.

@Enterthedragons congratulations!

It’s weird that people feel so comfortable making unwelcome comments to pregnant women. I can’t understand It. I find it especially hard because I’m super private, but I’m trying to prepare myself for it. A friend of mine said people made a few snide comments to her when she was pregnant with her 4th.

Hi all. May I join?

Can’t believe I’m joining another pregnancy thread but here I am Grin

Shock positive yesterday. I think I’m around 5 weeks. LMP 22/06 but I have quite long cycles of between 28-32 days. Normally O day 16-20 but must have ovulated really early this cycle (something like CD8-10) which hasn’t happened in all the years I’ve tracked my cycles. Oops! I honestly think it’s something to do with my dieting and losing weight.

I’m sure it will all be fine. We discussed a 4th but put it to bed for a bit and booked a lovely holiday for June next year instead. I was looking forward to getting back to the gym once DC3 started school in September. Having said all this I’m of the thinking of it was meant to be, and once it sinks in I will get more excited. I did always want four after all.

Absolutely no symptoms at all really! I am maybe needing the loo more often but I drink a lot throughout the day anyway.

I am also with a lot of you in dreading telling people!

NotThatKindOfDoctor · 22/07/2020 07:53

Congratulations @PowPurry and very jealous of the lack of symptoms.

It’s been a while since I was last pregnant (my youngest is 6) and I had completely forgotten how rotten it can make you feel. I’m so tired and low key nauseous all day. All I want to do is spend my entire life in bed but obviously can’t. Luckily my husband has taken over every single bit of house work though.

It’s not helping that it’s 35°c here at the moment, which I swear is making me feel more sick. I had been walking 3 miles a day but that can bugger off until it cools down. I keep telling myself to suck it up, but I’m not as tough as I thought I was 🤣

Hi, can i join you guys? Currently nearly 20 weeks with my 4th! I have a 14, 9 and 5 year old. Girl and 2 boys, and the bump is a girl ☺ my oh also has a 4 year old daughter so we are going to have a serious house full. Luckily i havent had any comments about it really other than wow another one you must be mad! How is everyone coping 4th time around?

PowPurry · 22/07/2020 09:02

Ahhhhh @NotThatKindOfDoctor I have had quite severe symptoms in my previous pregnancies. I think I’m just too early yet. I think they kick in about 6/7 weeks with me.

Took my last test earlier and feel a lot better now! The test progression is from Monday and this morning. I’m happy with that. And I THINK I believe it now Grin

Congratulations @Hatepickinganame!

I told my best friend today and she was less than enthusiastic. We’re very similar in a lot of ways, but when it comes to kids we’re pretty much opposites. We’re both 37, and obviously I’m about to have my 4th (which she said was “surprising”) and she isn’t sure she will have any. Was really hoping she would have reacted better but, urgh.

Hi ladies,

Was wondering if anyone has had number 4 yet? I'm 25 weeks now and was only 6 (I think) when I wrote on the message board, so am assuming a few babies may have arrived by now!

If so, I hope you're all doing well. Would love to hear some stories about what its like to have number 4 finally here!

Hi @NotThatKindOfDoctor!!

Just noticed a notification on the thread.

I’m 25 weeks tomorrow! How are you feeling? Do you know what you’re having? We’re having a boy and I’m so pleased. We have two of each now. I can’t believe how lucky we are.

However having said that I have been plagued with anxiety around this pregnancy because of that really. At first it was about mc, then the 12 week scan, then the 20 week, then the days where I haven’t felt many kicks etc etc... I have had this overwhelming ‘we’re pushing our luck’ feeling throughout.

Was supposed to have my first face to face appointment with a midwife this week but that’s gone to pot now as the school rang today saying DC3 has been in possible contact with a positive case so has to isolate for 10 days!

Hi @PowPurry! Congratulations on another boy! We’re having another boy too, which will make 3 boys and a girl for us.

It’s funny you should mention the worry actually, I had a bit of a panicky day yesterday, hoping today is better. I’ve been working on a policy paper for work and was completely consumed by it yesterday, which meant I wasn’t paying attention to kicks (stupid) so in the evening I didn’t know whether he had kicked a lot and I hadn’t noticed (which feels unlikely because normally it’s impossible not to notice!) or if he hadn’t kicked a lot and I should worry. I have to work today but kick counting is my number one priority! I’ve felt him move a bit this morning already, so I feel a little better.

Apart from that I feel pretty good. I had an episode of SPD at around 12 weeks (I had it was my last pregnancy too) so bought a belt and dramatically reduced the exercise I was doing. It seems to have improved a lot, so I’ve started to gradually up the amount of walking I’m doing again.

I haven’t got anything ready for the baby yet though 🤦🏻‍♀️ Am going to get it all done in January (and hopefully pick up some bargains). I didn’t really keep much from my others (we didn’t think we’d have another and our boys are 10ys and 12ys now). I switch from thinking it’ll be fun doing it all in one go, to worrying I’ve left myself to little time to sort it all out and get my work done before he gets here 😂.

Are your kids getting excited now? By the time Xmas is out of the way, it won’t be that long to go for either of us until the babies are here!

Wow forgot about this thread 😊 well I'm definitely having the girl I wished for and currently 34+6. Will be induced due to having gestational diabetes again around 38 weeks but maybe sooner if my growth scan Wednesday shows she's still SGA. How's everyone's pregnancies going xx

@NotThatKindOfDoctor

When are you due? I know, the kicks thing is panic inducing!
I too have SPD, which I think has been the worst yet. And I’ve still got 15 weeks to go.
I haven’t bought anything either, some baby grows after the 20 week scan. I’m planning on getting most of it second hand as we too got rid of everything after number 3!

Yes I’ve been thinking that too! As soon as the xmas period is over, babies will be here before we know it.

@kim160790 exciting! Sorry about the GD though, hope your managing with that OK!
