Restless legs HELP!!

I'm suffering really badly with restless legs, as soon as I lay down at night to go to sleep the restless legs (and even arms sometimes start too) just take over and I'm awake for hours with them! I try walking around, stretching and my hubby will massage them but nothing is helping! I have my 28 week check at the midwife next week so I'll mention it to her as I've read it can be a sign of low iron?
Anyone have any tips or ways they found helped relieve it a little?

A warm bath and hot water bottle for my legs helped. But it’s awful.

My friend had RLS and it was down to low iron in her pregnancy. She had her 28 week check and they put her on iron tablets and it really helped her.
Obviously don't just start taking iron tablets, wait for your blood test results at your 28 week check to come back and they will most likely prescribe you some if you do have low iron.
Fingers crossed it's eases for you! 🤞

I can not advise you enough to to get on amazon and buy magnesium spray. It was an absolute godsend for me!

So I've literally not been able to sleep at night due to RLS! I go to bed and struggle until about 5am with moving constantly and just not being able to get to sleep. I've tried everything and nothing works!

I'm 28 weeks today and I had my blood test yesterday (28 week midwife appointment isn't until a week and a half away 😩)
They rang me first thing this morning and told me my iron levels are low and I'm anaemic! Explains a lot really!

Ask if your MW can check your magnesium level at the same time as your iron, as this can affect RLS too.

Thank you so much for the advice/suggestions ladies, I'll definitely look in to them and getting my iron checked next week as sounds like it could well be the issue xx
