Can you drive after a sweep?

Hi, I'm getting a sweep next week at 37+1, (being induced the next day for medical reasons), and the hospital is about a 30 min drive away. Would it be a silly idea to go myself and drive home after? I've never had one before. My partner is working and will need to watch our toddler, but I could probably ask a friend or relative to drive if needed. Thanks!

I'd say you'll be fine. I felt completely fine after mine and carried in as normal. Even if it triggered something its unlikely to be anything immediate that prevents you driving.

Yes, had one yesterday and drove myself home. Think it's unlikely to start anything so quickly and intensely you can't drive. They would tell you not to if it was a risk I figured.

It’s absolutely fine to drive to and from your sweep 👍

Mine did start contractions straight away but they weren't bad, just like very intense period pains, so yes I probably could have drove.

I drove when I was in labour (didn't realise at the time).

Sweeps don't often tend to do much so you will be fine.

My best friend drove after her third sweep, straight to the McDonalds drive thru for a "well earned milkshake" she said. She just put a giant "puppy training pad" on the car seat incase anything happened with her waters, it didn't though!
