6 weeks pregnant and bleeding - haemorrhage on scan

Hi, I’m looking for some advice/reassurance. I was seen by the EPU on Monday after bleeding over the weekend and they found and area of haemorrhage on the scan. Since then have only had brown blood but it is continuing. Just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience and a positive outcome?

I had the same in my second pregnancy, I bled heavily at first then a light but steady flow for a few weeks and baby was absolutely fine xxx

I bled extensively from 5 to 13 ish weeks. Started as not much but then became full on haemorrhages. Bleed seen on scan but no obvious cause and it did stop after a horrendous first trimester. Now 24 weeks and baby fine. Good luck x

yep I got this, 13 weeks now and still bleeding, I do hope it stops at some point, its goes from light to heavy and I have had two occasions when I have passed bit clots and baby was fine, so as long as no pain with it bleeding doesn't mean a problem with baby, try not to worry but if ever concerned contact epu, all the best Smile

Thank you @Sazzy312 and @October2020, it’s really reassuring to hear. I’m riddled with nervous but I just have to keep holding on to positive stories like yours

I had a 4x3 cm haemorrhage that at one point caused me to trickle bright red blood over the toilet. It was terrifying! I was told to take it easy and to stay on pelvic rest until it resolved - so no sex and no sorting yourself out Confused it took about 4 weeks for mine to go and I'm now 26 weeks with no issues at all Smile I did loads of research when I had mine and they are actually fairly common x

@otterbaby goodness, I’m so pleased to hear that you are now 26 weeks. A slightly personal question but when you say it took 4 weeks to clear up did you have on and off spotting most days?
