Hi new thread 😍, anyone else suffering with insomnia or morning sickness when you get up to pee... Every night I'm awake between 3.20 and 3.40 and that's it then... Gipping and can't sleep 😴

Hi all not been on for a while suffering with the worst headaches this week today marks day six :( just when the sickness stops and started to feel human. Got my official NHS scan and even though had a perfect scan 2 weeks ago I’m still panicking. Is anyone else not having the Down syndrome test ? X

Report
angelascott · 01/07/2020 08:09

I'm not having that test, I figured that regardless of the outcome my baby will be loved anyway. Also I don't want to risk having any tests that may cause miscarriage x

@lauraha85... I had some toast this morning and as I ate my last bite I felt it all coming straight back up still feel sick and hoping that it improves as day goes on x

Dspx · 01/07/2020 08:26

That was my thought if the first test comes back high I won’t have the second test because of the risks so will just spend the next 6 months worrying. As you said it won’t change a single thing we have waited 3 years for this baby and they will be loved no matter what xx

My constipation is easing due to daily Bran Flakes lol x got three tiniest of little bumps showing when I’m not bloated which is making me feel all emotional. I am ten weeks today 🥰

Hi all, new here. Congratulations. Going by my dates I'm 11 weeks today got my scan next Friday so I'm excited about that. This is baby number 3 for me, I'm massive already and this pregnancy is so different to my first 2.

angelascott · 01/07/2020 08:58

@Dspx yeah I'm same we have tried for 13 years and had a mc after ivf and also a mc natural 4 years ago. This baby has been such a surprise and no matter what is super loved already xx

@dspx and @angelascott there’s a thread on here somewhere about deciding on the downs test. Quite a few people who have downs babies said it helped them to know in advance so they could prepare. I thought it was interesting to hear what people had to say. I’m one of those people who wants to know EVERYTHING! So I’m having the nipt/harmony test. Appreciate everyone is different.

Hi @StaceImpactWfan thanks for joining. More the merrier! How is this one different from your other two? I’ve got DS 3 and felt a little queasy but otherwise great all the way through. Feel like crap on a cracker this time!

Oh thank you I will have a look it would be helpful to know but my worry is that if I get a higher result I won’t want the follow up test as I have already lost one baby so any risk of miscarriage however small is to high for me so I would just be in limbo for the rest of the pregnancy. I will be having the 20 week scan to show any problems etc xx

Report
Onekidnoclue · 01/07/2020 10:14

@dspx I’m not pushing you but if you get a high result you don’t have to have the amino test. You can have a nipt/Harmony test. It’s a blood test but with higher accuracy. Some NHS trusts will cover it if you have over a certain likelihood in the standard test. Other places you have to pay. It’s about £400.
Hope it doesn’t seem like I’m pushing you into it! I’m not. I just have a really strong personal preference towards knowing and did quite a bit of research to help with my anxiety about the lottery that is pregnancy! X

@onekidnoclue with my first 2 (both boys) I had extreme sickness with both (til 29 weeks with DS1 and 19 weeks with DS2) same cravings etc... This one I wasn't sick once just nauseous but that went at 10 weeks (I'm 11 weeks today by my dates) my breasts are so sore, I'm showing already and feeling movements for the past 2 days.

WhoUsedMyName · 01/07/2020 10:43

Personally I've never had any of the tests further than a scan. To me what will be will be and how much can you really prepare for, I think it would cause me worry and stress If I didn't get the results I was hoping for. I understand some people may not cope with a child with a disability etc but I know of a lady who believed she was having a baby with Down syndrome she didn't think she would cope and booked to terminate twice but couldn't go through with it. She lost a lot of weight was very worried. She had the baby he was fine x

WhoUsedMyName · 01/07/2020 10:45

@StaceImpactWfan I feel movement too! When my daughter shouts and when I'm in bed lol. I was reading up and they say earliest you can feel movement is around 14 weeks tops but this isn't true
