@Oldestchild90s time has FLOWN in my opinion! It doesn’t seem like I found out I was 2 weeks pregnant 33 weeks ago....

Bloody Nora ladies, just went on the old thread to catch up and we're on a new one already!! 🤣🤷🏼‍♀️ nice time see everyone getting prepped and excited!

I'm not sure if I'm getting Braxton Hicks or not, anyone able to describe them to me? X

I second if someone can describe braxton hicks? I’ve been getting a tightening & period like cramps but very very light & not sore enough to warrant doing anything about it. Is this braxton hicks? & how early do you get them?

@StephD2020 my Braxton Hicks aren't painful but my bump goes rock hard and it feels like strong ripples going down my bump towards my pelvis. They go on for ages, it gets quite uncomfortable.

7 weeks still feels like ages away, but when I think that it's only 5 weeks til I'm full term that feels scary! The whole pregnancy has felt really quick. We're going to see IL's for the first time since January tomorrow- its FILs birthday so we'll do a socially distanced garden visit (and probably get wet!) It feels crazy that both sets of parents have basically missed the whole pregnancy, as we've not seen them since 1st trimester.

Thanks @cannotmakemymindup! Can't believe we've filled another one already

StephD2020 · 27/06/2020 23:07

Thanks @heroineinahalfshell see I get the tightening, like my whole bump goes rock hard for 1-2 mins, sometimes longer but then that's it? So maybe not BH but rather the bean having a wriggle around? So confused!

Defo getting lightening crotch tho and that defo ain't fun! ⚡️

Hi ladies hope it’s okay if I join?! I’ve been lurking on MN pregnancy board for months and have been reading the August 2020 threads every once in a while but didn’t post. Finally made an account today!

I’m due 13th August with my first and am 33+2. Can’t believe how fast it’s gone, the first trimester felt like years but once the sickness stopped I feel it’s gone soo fast! I’ve had some very minor tightenings on the bump at night and some mild period pains occasionally but don’t know if they’re strong enough to be Braxton hicks??

How prepared is everyone? I feel I’ve got everything ready now just itching to meet our little one!

Evening ladies, so had another trip to the hospital tonight with severe back pain, I didn’t actually go to maternity unit Just to the normal part of the hospital but they transferred me up to maternity, and again it triggered contractions so I was given medication to stop it once again, and now I’ve been given my date for induction as the 17th of July so little man is actually going to be a July baby rather than an August one!

They still don’t know what the back pain is but they’ve sent me home with paracetamol and codeine but hopefully it will ease off soon.

@Havlerr Hi due date twin 😊 I'm due my first on 13th Aug (a girl).

I've been getting the tightenings and cramping across the bump for a few weeks and guessing it's BH. It can be uncomfortable but never painful and isn't a regular thing.

I've also been getting strange shooting pains across the bottom of the bump....does that sound like round ligament pain? It keeps taking me by surprise if I move suddenly.

I just feel like I'm getting more aches and pains in general.....hands, feet, cankles, back, belly....everything aches! And then there's the heat, the exhaustion, the headaches, the heartburn, the nausea. I'm definitely wishing the next 6 ish weeks away 🤣

Woohoo thread number 3! 😁 it's getting nearer!

@Firstmummytobe sorry to hear you've been back in again but exciting you have a date now!! Can they see the contractions on the ctg then?! How many weeks will you be when they induce 🙂 you might be out first baby mama on here!

Eeeek @Firstmummytobe that's not long at all! Sorry you ended up back in hospital, hope the meds help baby stay put just a few weeks longer.

Also I'm having such trouble getting comfortable tonight, finding it really hard to take deep breaths, it feels like there's just no room and it's hurting my back - I'm tossing and turning in bed but just can't get comfy! Anyone got any tips? 😆

Hi all, hope you're all doing well!

I am getting really impatient now, I just want august to come lol

@squashie34 maybe try some stretches and walking around for abit I find that always helps me with my pains.

@Firstmummytobe that's exciting you know your induction date!

@sel2223 I've also been having sharp pains in the bottom of my bump this week, I put it down to ligament pain and sure enough bump has had a bit of a growth spurt the last few days.

I'm putting her lack of movement and the strength of my BH the last couple of days down to being dehydrated. Realised that while I'd been drinking a lot of iced tea and diet coke, I'd had very little water and was peeing very infrequently. Massively upped my water intake today and she's been wriggling around loads and my BH have felt mild and not lasted very long. Feel a bit of an idiot, but it'll be nice to have the extra scan on Weds to check in on her anyway.

@squashie34 @sel2223 I know it’s been a nightmare of a pregnancy to be honest, and They said they could do it a week today and I’ll be 36 weeks and I just think that is too early so I said if they think it would be safe for me to get to 38 weeks I would prefer so I’ll be 38+0 when I get induced.

And yeah, there were regular wave contractions on the CTG again which is why they gave me the medication but they sent me home as I said I would feel more comfortable there.

The countdown is officially on!!! 😁💙
