Hi! I got my BFP yesterday and I'm due 3rd March! I had a MMC in January so I'm already super anxious about being pregnant again but hopefully I can calm down and it's a sticky little bean ☺️

@Kangeroo77 This is my first Smile Had to go down the Ovulation Induction route in the end, so now panicking it won't stick! I'm so sorry to hear you had 2 mc in the past, that must have been really tough for you, but here's hoping 6 time's a charm 😁🎉 How old are your two?x

I got my BFP 8 days ago.. EDD 02/18/21. I’m 45 with a 10 yr old son. My ex husband and I went through 7 years of infertility treatments to get our son. The Dr’s all told me I would never ovulate without benefit of meds/injectables and hormones. Color me surprised when I felt off all week last week and couldn’t put my finger on it. I have PCOS, so my periods are never normal - 28-45 days typically.

I took a dollar store test and it immediately came up positive. Like bright neon lights blinking that “You’re Pregnant” line at me..

I’m still in shock, and trying to wrap my head around the fact that after 7 years of trying and spending thousands of dollars with my ex on infertility treatments, something that I was told would never happen has happened. I’m lightheaded!

Hello everyone, I found out on wednesday that I'm pregnant with my first - still in kind of disbelief! EDD is 25th February so I'm around 4.5 weeks I think. I am 33.

I've only done 2 tests so far but I'm getting the urge to do another in the morning. Is it normal to doubt it in these early stages? My symptoms are incredibly mild and today have almost been non existent so I suppose it's made me a little anxious!

Would be great to chat to others going through the same thing.

Congratulations all!!

@UhOhMa I was told I wasn't ovulating at all, so had to have Tamoxifen and Ovitrelle to give my body the kick it needed. I was in complete shock to find out it worked first time! This is your good karma, after years of frustration and disappointment, the world is cutting you some slack! What are you next steps? Will get you any pregnancy bloods or early scans?

@Darcy86 I have been testing every morning since I found out! I keep thinking it'll all go away in my sleep, so I need to be sure when I wake up! I'm 4.5 weeks too (and a few months off 33!), but not sure of my EDD as I've always had anovulatory cycles that were 20-21 days so this was my first proper cycle in years. What symptoms have you had so far?

Hi girls, hope you dont mind me joining. I'm 30 and just got my BFP this morning after 2 months of ttc #1. Who knew baby making was so worrying?! Before the BFP I was worried about infertility...even googling how many cycle of IVF you get in Northern Ireland. Now I'm worrying about chemical pregnancies and miscarriages. I guess this is all prep for the worry that comes with being a parent lol! Xox

Hi @Tecalina last week I had mild nausea, very slightly tender boobs and afternoon fatigue. Yesterday I didnt really have any of that! Did another test this morning though and it's still there...I really need to find a way of calming down about it and stop doubting it!

@knickknack30 I totally understand, I have long cycles so I'd convinced myself something was wrong, we'd been trying about 7 months so not a huge amount of time. I'm also overweight so kind of worrying about that too. And generally in disbelief!

@Darcy86 I had sore boobs all last week but they seem to be settling down a bit now. The things that keep going through my head are driving me crazy, if you manage to find a successful way of keeping calm, please let me know!

@knickknack30 getting your bfp after two months is really lucky, congrats! Did something in particular make you worry about infertility, or just worried in general?

knickknack30 · 21/06/2020 14:01

@Darcy86 huge congrats. I'm sure after 7 months you were so relieved to get your BFP Smile
@Tecalina I know I feel so so lucky. I am genuinely in shock. Such a lovely shock though! Not really anything concrete. I'm just a bit of a pessimist I guess and thought oh its bound to take ages for us. Which is such a bad attitude I know. My mum has endo and I think that's in the back of my mind and DH is type 1 diabetic and I had googled (why do we do it) and it can cause DNA damage in sperm.
Still early days and long way to go obviously but just trying to remain positive that we got a BFP Smile

I should have said BTW. Symptoms wise my boobs are aching and feel very full, definitely sensitive to smells and have had a few waves of nausea, particularly at breakfast time.

@Tecalina I’ve scheduled an appointment with my obgyn for July 13. My ex and I never tried again once we had our son (who is 10), and now I’m trying to decide if this is real or if I’m dreaming after 17 years of being told I’m basically infertile without benefit of fertility drugs. I Never used any type of contraceptives because my RE told me I would always be anovulatory and would require injectables (we used tamoxifen too) to trigger ovulation. My boyfriend and I had had this talk, and We were both very okay with not having more. He is almost 50.

So I have a huge change coming down from having a 10 year old and Thinking I’m done with diapers and sleepless nights lol. I loved being pregnant with my son, no morning sickness, felt awesome and all that. I’ve been nauseous since week 4, exhausted and had massive tender breasts and lots of saliva. I’m nervous I might have multiples lol. My LMP was 28 days before I tested, but as I said in my first post, my cycles run 28-45 most of the time due to PCOS.

@knickknack30 Google is both a wonderful invention but also our worst enemy! I even asked Google if it was a bad sign that boobs ache less today 🤦🏼‍♀️ I find myself Googling every silly thing, hoping for some reassurance! I understand your concerns though, it increases the anxiety if there are known issues in the family/partner. Fingers crossed all is ok though!

@UhOhMa You and I were in a similar situation then, as I've been anovulatory for years! Will the 13th July be your 6/7 week scan? If my bloods come back ok tomorrow I'll be booking mine in for the 8th July 😊 it sounds like you had the perfect pregnancy last time, let's hope your body doesn't make up for it this time 🙈 Where are you based, by the way? I'm guessing America or Canada?

@Justkeepswimming91 hello! Welcome to the anxious gang 😂 Have you been ttc for long?

Hi guys,
I’m from the UK and got my first positive result on Monday. I’m only dated at being 1-2 weeks pregnant so do I need to book a Doctor’s appointment?
I have a 5 year old boy and we were very lucky as both happened very quickly. I’m 34

@UhOhMa it sounds like you gets lots of scans in Canada or America, unlike the U.K? From memory isn’t the first scan 12 weeks lol

I’m going to ring my doctors tomorrow and see where I’m at I think. I really don’t know where everything’s at, at the moment because of Corona

Hi everyone, hope it's ok to join!
I got my bfp a week ago and my due date is Feb 21st. Currently 5w1d
Have my first scan on Thursday - last pregnancy ended at 5w4d and I had to have my left tube removed because it was an ectopic.
Fingers crossed this is a 'normal' pregnancy this time.
Feeling positive as I've had bad nausea and very sore boobs which I didn't have last time.
Xx

@helsbubble17 Hey! Congrats 🙂 When you says 1-2 weeks, do you mean from conception? Ring your GP and speak to reception, they'll tell you what to do regarding getting a midwife. I had to fill out a self-referral form online. The usual NHS scan is 12 weeks in the UK but because I've had to have private fertility treatment, I'm getting booked in for a 6 week scan to check everything is ok!

@BMWL So sorry to hear your last pregnancy was unsuccessful, fingers crossed this one goes much more smoothly for you 🙂 Sore boobs and nausea are definitely good signs! I'm worried about an ectopic pregnancy, so having some bloods taken tomorrow which will indicated if the implantation was successful. Please keep us posted after your scan on Thurs!
