Pregnancy

Do you see a line or have I got line eyes?

Had a baby 10 weeks ago, and had my first period around 3 and a half weeks ago. We’ve been using condoms because I can’t go on any other form of contraception for health reasons, but a couple of times we have used the pull out method. Stupid, I know. The other day I walked into my house and smelt this awful smell that I had when I was pregnant, and it completely knocked me back and made me feel so nauseous. I’ve been smoking again since 2 weeks postpartum (again, stupid, but I have pretty bad mental health issues and as someone who doesn’t really drink I just needed a vice, I always wash my hands, wash out my mouth and change my clothes and don’t smoke around my baby). Today I’ve had some cigarettes and randomly feel really sick after having them, just like I did when I was pregnancy, and I still feel really nauseous. No other symptoms though apart from headaches and I’m super tired but I do have a new baby, so that’s to be expected. I took a test anyway and I’m not sure if I see something or not, and if not, whether to put the symptoms down to hormonal changes. I know it’s too early to test really but I’m wondering if I’m mad in seeing the second line?

I can't see a line.

Maybe test again in a week or so, if you haven't had your period 3 and a half weeks since last period might mean very very early pregnancy or it could just be hormones settling down. Can you contact you HV about smoking? I can imagine having a baby during lockdown is hard work and very stressful. Good luck

I can't see anything? The lines are actually designed to be seen, sorry if that sounds harsh...

I realise that @thisisanytimetoshine - I have just had a baby, lol. I was asking because I see something, as mentioned.

Sorry, I really didn't mean that the way it sounded.

Not the point of your post but please dont smoke while you have a newborn. So unfair on the baby.

Don’t use the pull out method. If you don’t want another child you need to use reliable contraception.

I don’t see anything but the exact same thing happened to me when my first was only a couple of months old.

Blue dye tests are notorious for showing shadows/lines when they’re negative, if you’re still worried use a pink dye test.
