My heart rate...

I’ve read somewhere that when pregnant you should keep your heart rate under 140bpm. I’ve just gone for a bike ride and a couple of times I went over 140... should I be worried? I’m 5+3

Sorry I don't have an answer to this but would be interested to know what others say. I'm 13+5, running twice a week and my heart rate can get up to 180.

Everything I've seen says it's fine if you are
used to doing exercise like that, just don't suddenly start in pregnancy

I thought it was fine as a previous poster said I'm a runner too and been told by drs and midwives you can keep exercising the way you were prior to pregnancy so I've been doing my best and my heart rate goes well over this sometimes, I've never been told to watch my heart rate or limit it and I've been clear with midwives I'm still exercising xx

Thanks all, that’s comforting! I used to bike ride a fair bit then haven’t done for years but got back on about a month before finding out I was pregnant!
