Bleed on placenta

Hi, I am 10+5 days pregnant and was lucky enough to have an early scan a few days ago following symptoms of COVID-19 (results are negative!) and some bleeding. My scan showed I have a cervical abrasion which they say is fairly normal and can flare up during pregnancy but also that I have a bleed on my placenta. Midwife’s did not seem overly concerned about either and told me to keep an eye for heavy bleeding. Since my scan the bleeding has increased although still not overly red or with clots and I now have a really sore abdomen, tender to touch or even move in bed.

I had two miscarriages last year and therefore feeling panicked!

Anyone else had any similar experiences?

To add, scan showed baby with heartbeat and appropriate size for number of weeks.

Hiya, I haven't experienced anything similar to yourself but I know how worrying it can be. I just wanted to say I hope all turns out okay and sending you lots of positive thoughts Smile

Thank you for your kind messages. Unfortunately I had a scan this morning and have suffered another miscarriage (11weeks)- have removal op on Friday. I don’t know whether it was the fever or bleed on placenta or an underlying health issue!

I try to look at the positives in all situations and hope that as this is my third, I can now be referred to the recurrent miscarriage specialist to start some testing! Feeling optimistic xxx
