Hi
I’ve been having period type crampings for the last week, I’m pretty sure it’s normal it’s not painful just a dull ache but it’s got me really worried, I think because we’ve waited so long for this I’m absolutely terrified.
So is period cramps/dull aches normal at this stage?

Thankyou

I had the exact same thing with my first from about 4 weeks pregnant. I too was worried so had a private scan at 6 weeks, luckily everything was ok and I saw a heartbeat. I was told it was ligament pain which I was told is pretty common. If you are concerned at all though I would ring your doctors.
Congratulations on your pregnancy :)

Thank you! I spoke to the doctor who said if I’m worried ring EPU but I don’t want to waste their time or go for no reason x

I had them too and occasionally have them now I'm 24w. As long as they are not more painful that your usual period it's fine. It's uterus teething, you can have back ache too. Congratulations!

Definitely give the EPU a call. It might be nothing but it's definitely better to get medical advice. They can support you and hopefully get you in for a scan to check everything. 💓
