Cribs for small bedroom

At 25 weeks pregnant I decided I would measure out the cot I like to see how it would fit in our bedroom, and needless to say it doesn't fit! Our bedroom is awkward with the positioning of doors so we don't really have much floor space.

Now I'm in a panic about what crib this little one is going to sleep in until it graduates to the cot in its own bedroom.

I really like the look of the snuzpod but it's expensive and the mattress size means you have to buy their brand of sheets.

I don't like the look of the chicco next to me with the metal legs, the legs just make me feel like it belongs in an office? I'm being totally picky I know. I also don't intend on having the crib connected to the bed.

Any help or suggestions for a crib would be much appreciated!!

I got a snuzpod for the exact same space issues you mentioned!
Ended up buying 2nd hand so will just need a new mattress and sheets which makes it a lot more reasonably priced.

We have a very small clair de lune crib which is a hand me down from my sister.

How about a crib or moses basket?

I'm planning on an eBay tutti bambini cozee - prefer the design to the other bedside cribs, and apparently works well as a travel cot.

We have a snuzpod and just bought sheets from John Lewis as their own ones had terrible reviews. It’s been great, I’d really recommend.

If you have a look on shpock there are lots of snuzpods 2nd hand (you need to buy a new mattress).

I got the tutti bambini cozee air - managed to pick it up for £48 when MotherCare was closing down. It hasn't been put up yet as baby isn't due for another 9 weeks but I found a seller on eBay who do sheets to fit specific brands (4 for £13). They do Snuzepod sheets 2 for £11 (could be cheaper, haven't had a proper look to be honest!)

The shop is called For-your-little-one if that is of any use.

I'm the same, 21 weeks, the nursery is now our make shift office and likely to be that way until birth so rather than stressing I've just gone for the Kinderkraft version of the next to me crib as it looks ok and should last a good few months plus is a lot cheaper

Oh thanks Pygmy I always forget about ebay!!

Thanks for all suggestions. I do really love the snuzpod so I reckon I'll go for it.

My bedroom is long and narrow, so I don’t have much space to either side of the bed. I’ve opted for the maxi Cosi Iora, as it fold down easily, adjustable height, and has a handy storage tray. Fits better than the snuzpod. Going to the vet the sheets from John Lewis.

Tutti bambini was brilliant for my granddaughter. Lovely design, handy shelf and great for a travel cot or when they stayed here. We found the Chico sheets fitted fine.

I have the Tutti Bambini Cozee, got in 2nd hand and a new mattress.
It’s really nice!

Unfortunately my baby doesn’t agree and we’ve been bed sharing for 9 months Hmm

The Tutti Bambini Cozee and Maxi cosy iora are really pretty too!! Now I'm stuck 😂

Megan, see this is the thing I could go to all this effort and baby hates it lol

We have a very long and narrow bedroom, but I was set on getting a Chicco Magic which is massive - have ended up putting it in the spare room and either just me, or DH too, will have to sleep there if I really want baby next to me! Otherwise, it can just go at the end of the bed in our bedroom.

Snuzpods looked really nice, but I chickened out as there didn't seem to be so many reviews etc about them. Good to hear positive stories here though.

We are the same re. the 'nursery' currently being an office too @Indigogirl88 - at least it stops me getting too carried away with buying things for it/decorating!
