Transverse and COVID

I've just been for my 34 week check and baby is transverse (as I suspected!). I've got to go back in 2 weeks for another check and possible presentation scan.

I've just read that they can keep you in from 37 weeks in case of a cord prolapse if you were to go into natural labour before a scheduled c section.

Has this happened to anyone during COVID and you've had to stay in or are they happy to let you stay at home and come in at the first signs of labour? Help!

@lucy2204 ah thank you! Yes, please let me know! Weirdly given all the COVID stuff I'd be quite happy with a scheduled c section...

My baby was transverse at 34 weeks and had turned by the time it was go time.

You still have time! Dont worry.

@Letsallscreamatthesistene fingers crossed! I just seems that the chances of the babu staying transverse after 34 weeks is higher than then turning!

Hi I had a baby that was lying oblique /breech 5 days ago at 36 weeks. Now I’m sure they won’t work for everyone -but I tried spinning babies tricks -and my hubby and I really believe we saw him move when I did the lying on an ironing board with hot water bottle at bottle of stomach and cold peas at top. I went for a scan yesterday before potentially having the ECV turning procedure and he had already turned -I’m convinced it was when we did the frozen peas thing. Might be worth a look at spinning babies website.

@hertsgal hey hun said I'd give you up update my baby has turned now so looking at a home birth they did say if he was still transverse I wouldn't be staying on hospital I'd most likely be called in by Friday for a section tho, hope you and baby are okay xx
