Hey, has anyone had dry and sometimes itchy skin in pregnancy and does anyone know if it's related to having a girl or boy? 😊

Itchy skin is common in pregnancy as your skin is constantly stretching and can occasionally become irritable.
Just make sure you're slapping loads of good quality moisturiser in every day and you should be fine. 🥰
In terms of whether it relates to a boy or girl, I can't help you I'm afraid! 😬

Thank you @lockdownpregnancy! I try and moisturise most days, was just curious about the gender thing, I've been reading mixed things online - ahhhh the boredom of lockdown 🤣

You're telling me! Nearly 11 weeks for me now! 😭 I was researching the nub and skull theory and just got so lost! 😂
Just sacked it off and got told at my 20 weeks scan we were having a boy! I was always convinced he was a boy anyway, but I really don't know about these 'theories' 😝

Ahhh congratulations @lockdownpregnancy! How many weeks are you now? I'm only 17 weeks, feels like ages until my 20 week one! I'm completely unsure as to what I'm having, still trying to guess from my 12 week scan and my symptoms! 🤣

@Laur89 I'm 22 weeks now and he's growing fast!
It will feel like forever until your 20'week scan! I think lockdown makes it worse! 😝
There are no more scans for me now (unless something is wrong, which hopefully there won't be) and because DH hasn't been able to come to any scans to date, so we are having a 30 week private scan so he can come in and see his little boy wriggling around! 🥰🥰

Itchy skin is normal in pregnancy as other posters have said but be careful if it becomes worse at night and on your hands and feet.
I suffered from this for the last few weeks of my pregnancy and only told the midwife as it started keeping me awake at night. I was diagnosed with reduced liver function and had to have an emergency induction the next day 😬

All was fine but I'm now pregnant again and very weary of it.
