If you have a look around the boards there is a multiples board. You'll meet loads of twin mums there if you havent found it before. Didnt know if you knew about it.

@Stacey2007 I assume those posters arnt on the multiples threads much as they move veeery slowly. There's posts on the first page from 2018!

Keep posting here lovely you'll get more traffic.

I'm pregnant with twins girls as well and I'm nearly 14 weeks. They are in separate sacks and have separate placentas.

How are you feeling about it all? Have you any others? I have two girls already with my partner

@Stacey2007 I think tamba is the best way after more restrictions lift to meet other twin mum's locally after our little ones are born. They gave me a leaflet when I had my first scan.

I find the multiple threads really lovely but they are made up of very few mum's in the first and second trimesters. It is quite rare to have twins even though you are them around, I didn't realize how rare and amazing it all actually was!

Thankyou 😁 aww congratulations @ChampooPapi erm I’m okay now, was a little scared at first, there my first babies so was a shock 😂 I’ve been so bad with acid reflux from like 14 weeks too, but now I just feel a little uncomfortable. Even bending down is a exercise 😂 how have you been? X

Oh exactly the same with bending down, and I'm only just in my second trimester! We are going to get absolutely huge arnt we ! 😬. I'd definitely say even with one, pregnancy is so much harder then having a baby. Your body is your own again and you don't have a nearly constant headache which helps too!.

Are you thinking of breast feeding? I'm going to breast feed and formula feed I think, combination it until six months or what have you then just continue with the formula until a year.

That's the vague plan anyway!. I know the best laid plans and all....but I do think you can stick to your guns on quite a few things with babies. Loads of people tell you 'oh that'll change' or 'you won't be able to keep that up' but actually if you really believe in something or want to do it it will work out.

Healthy Babies are a lot easier to look after then a lot of people give the impression of. It is graft, absolutely sometimes. But my goodness they sleep soo much when they are tiny and are so much fun as toddlers.

I'd say the hardest part is 6-18 months. The weening combined with feeding means you are constantly feeding in some way. And when they start moving they are so useless and squirmy. Then suddenly they become more able and it's fantastic ☺️

So treasure the newborn phase, it's lush 💖

Hi ladies. I’m also having twin girls, I’ll be 18 weeks this week! Still feels surreal these will be our 3rd & 4th babies 🙈

Stacey2007 · 24/05/2020 20:32

@ChampooPapi we sure are, I don’t want to get too big 😩😂😂 I don’t think I am going to breast feed tbh, yeah it’s going to be hard so we’ll worth every part isn’t it, I’m excited. Have they told you that you won’t go past 36 weeks? I already feel like I’m ready to pop 😂.... @EmmaA96 congratulations are yours identical girls ?

@EmmaA96 oh my goodness is it your third and fourth as well? And we are twinning with twin girls 💖

@Stacey2007 fair play, I will see it as an achievement if I manage a few weeks or a month post birth with the breast feeding to be honest. I've done it twice before but with twins I think a lot of women do mixed and then end up just doing formula as it's easier for two people after the first few initial months (or days!) Lol

@Stacey2007 they are yeah, 2 sacs but one placenta!

@ChampooPapi yes! Don’t know how well manage 🤣

@ChampooPapi maybe I might change my mind but atm I’m not thinking about breast feeding, we will see 😂
@EmmaA96 same as me then 😃 have they told you that they won’t let you go past 36 weeks ?

I do want to breastfeed, I haven’t done it before but it’s definitely something I want to see through!

& no! I’ve had one midwife app at 16 weeks she basically just went through TTTS, early labour signs etc. I’m back in 2 weeks for midwife but got a scan this week! Have you been told you can go for a natural birth if babies are head down? @Stacey2007

@EmmaA96 ohh the TTTS has been a pain for me, they thought i was at the start of it so had to go for weekly scans, luckily up to now it’s sorted itself and I haven’t got it, I was so scared, at first I was told that I will be having a c section but then when I seen doctor last week he said they won’t know till I’m 30 /32 weeks to see if heads down, I don’t mind either way, as long as babies are okay, have you been told that?

Oh im so glad it’s all sorted itself out for you! It’s just so worrying isn’t it!
No same again she said we’d discuss further along, same here but I can’t stop reading stories about twin 2 turning and getting an emergency section so I’m so torn on what I want to do!!

I had my boys at 37+6. I was induced. 8 hours of labour then ended up with an emergency section after the clip on the head of Twin1’s head failed.
The were 7lbs5 and 6lbs4! No special care needed. I was in hospital for 5 days. Twins are so much fun!!

Stacey2007 · 25/05/2020 18:34

Ohh wow they was a good size then wasn’t they, I’ve been told I won’t be going past 36 weeks I don’t know why. 🤔 that’s good that they dint need special care 😁

Mine were planned c section as twin 1 was transverse which should have been 37 weeks but they moved it forward to 35+5 as I was leaking. 4lb 13 and 5lb 8 and 3 days in SCBU for twin 2 (heavier baby). We were all out by 5th day though :)

I remember the tightness! Your skin just keeps on stretching! It never split (even though it felt like it should do at times!)

GreenTulips · 25/05/2020 19:19

I had a vaginal north at 38 weeks as I refused a section. Lots of people there to help and all went well.
