Baby S due August and we are pretty much set on the Bugaboo Fox 2. It's relatively new so I'd love to hear any pros/cons from fellow mumsnetters as there aren't many reviews online!

I'm very early but starting looking at prams as it's hard to resist. This was the pram I'd always been and wanted, but after Looking at other travel systems on the market i thought this was very very expensive.
I've been looking at many brands and already crazily short listed a few 🙈
Cosatto giggle 3 and wow XL
Maxi Cosi Zelia,
Venicci carbo Lux,
My favourites are the Infababy FLO and Ultima 🥰

Hope you find your dream pram xxxx

Also following! There is a video on the bugaboo channel on YouTube which runs through the changes between v1 and v2 - they don’t seem significant to me. On that basis, I think the reviews on v1 are likely to cover most of it!

Would be good to track any sales/deals here too!

Still early days for us too but also have my eye on the bugaboo fox 2. Ideally we were thinking of the fox but the 2 has a peekaboo window which we thought would be useful. I know it’s pricey for what it is but I’m just so in love with it!

Thank you for your replies! Yes it is on the more expensive end for a pram but after watching that video above I think it covers everything we would want!

It's a complete minefield!

What does everyone think of getting the car seat to match the travel system? I've read so many good reviews about maxi cosi and it seems you can just get the adapters to fit the fox 2.

When we eventually make a decision on what travel system, I'll be deliberating colours for ages then!!!!

I was going to get the bugaboo turtle car seat as I thought it didn’t need adapters!

@April1990 The fox 2 is top of our list at the moment too, I've seen some packages with the maxi Cosi car seat coming with it.

I know what you mean about colours, so much choice! Plus I'm sure there's ones not online? I'm not sure if they do some specific to stores or are time limited but I've seen some people get colour combos from John Lewis I haven't seen online! 🤷🏻‍♀️

@raindrop84 Oh really? Can I ask where you saw that? Or is it just a google search.

Yes I have seen the all black version currently online and in stock at John Lewis

No advice other than I have the bugaboo donkey/cameleon/bee and they are worth every single penny

I’ve been trying to decide between the bugaboo fox2 and Uppababy Vista 2. Think I will go for the Vista as they both do similar terrains but the fox looks more of a faff to put down than the Vista.

@raindrop84 Thanks! My midwife gave me a gentle nudge about ordering a pram at my 25 week appointment! I've been really stalling in hope that a shop may be open for me to have a 'test drive' before I purchase. It feels like such a big commitment 😂

I have the fox 1 and I still love it after 18 months use, the new features on the fox 2 look good but not dramatically different.

@April1990 I know, it's such a big purchase without seeing it! The reviews sound great but I still want to try it for myself!

@April1990 May I ask why the midwife was so keen on you having a pram now? I was planning on leaving ordering as late as I could for storage reasons 🤦‍♀️

Report
April1990 · 19/05/2020 22:18

@Figey I don't think she was particularly concerned that I hadn't bought one, just the fact I hadn't really thought about anything baby related and the weeks are flying by! She just mentioned if you are set on a particular brand then you might have difficulty finding stock with everything going on 😃

I've seen some which are saying 14 weeks for delivery whereas others are a matter of days. Think it all depends what you go for, where you get it from!

@April1990 What colour options do you think you'll go for??

Have you considered buying second hand? My friend did with her baby and she got a beautiful pram for a fraction of the price. I’m really torn! She got hers from here //www.pramsy.com and it does look amazing. Not sure what to do!

@BigRedBoat is there much more space left with an 18 month? I’ve seen some websites say It can be used up to 15 months but others up to 4 years! I can’t imagine a 4 year old fitting it it!

raindrop84 · 20/05/2020 05:38

@FudgeFlies @BigRedBoat I was wondering this too as there's definitely a lot of mixed messages out there in terms of what age it accommodates up to!

BigRedBoat · 20/05/2020 06:24

@FudgeFlies, she's 98th centile for height and doesn't look cramped at all. My 5 year old got in for a laugh the other day and it was a bit small for her but not unreasonably so

I’m thinking of the Fox too, not sure if the Fox 1 or 2 is there any particular difference?

I think I want the Cybex Cloud Z car seat because it’s the only one I’ve seen that goes flat which is apparently much better for the baby if you take them out in the car seat on the pram etc. Will that work with the Fox does anyone know or do any of the Maxi-Cosi ones go flat?

I’m 31 weeks and ordering the bugaboo pink and grey this week does anyone know of any deals or the best place to order from? It’s sold out not the bugaboo site :(
