Crazy Dreams - HELP?!

I've been having awful dreams recently and they usually wake me up several times during the night. Last night was one of the worst and I woke up this morning with a cut on my head where I had been thrashing around and unknown to me, cracked my head on the bedside table.

I never even recall having dreams before and I now have hideous nightmares, always people close to me dying, I'm being chased etc.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can sleep better/more deeply? This is hell and I am only 15 weeks so the prospect of months of this is not appealing!

Thanks x

No answers I am afraid, but just letting you know that you are not alone. I have been having lots of strange and some very upsetting dreams / nightmares.

Perhaps see your GP, they may be able to help.

Down half a bottle of vodka. That'll knock you out! Oh. sorry. not an option. Bugger.

On a serious note, i know it's an old cliche but have you tried perhaps having a nice warm milky drink before bed? I think also the nightmares/dreams are your subconscious's way of showing anxiety to the massive changes that are going to be happening in your life. I think alot of pg women have had weird dreams/nightmares at some point during their pregnancy, myself included. It is fairly common, but in the meantime, move your bedside table far far away!

Good to know I am not alone! I'm buying a new bed this weekend so maybe that will help as I'll have more room and be comfy

I dreamed I went into labour (I'm currently 35 weeks) and had to get a double-decker bus to hospital with Ronnie Corbett as my birth partner. Woke up before we got to hospital, thank God.
