Convinced I'm pregnant with Mirena coil...

I already have 3 kids, first 2 planned, 3rd was conceived when 1nd was 4 months old 😱. We went on a trip to Scotland via car and the country lanes were making me travel sick and I said to OH "I only ever get travel sick in pregnancy" and boom took a test and was 9 weeks pregnant!
Anyway the last 3 days I've had horrific heartburn and keep going light headed etc and just generally feel it if you know what I mean. Like I've been pregnant 3 times now and this was what it felt like. OH just thinks there's no chance cos of coil but do you think it's worth a test. I had a 4 day "bleed" about 4 weeks ago but before that I only ever really got spotting on the coil so no idea of periods 🤔 anyone here been pregnant on mirena before?? I've had it in for 14 months by the way.

My comment is from what my friend went through not me.
She fell pregnant on the coil and didn't know and went to the doctors will abdominal pain.
Turns out she was pregnant but the doctors concern was that if the coil was still in, then they had to remove it ASAP. The risk however is she could have miscarried.
She went straight for an early scan and the coil had actually expelled itself and she never knew and then fell pregnant.
Thankfully baby was well and she didn't have to go through the process of having it removed.
I'd get yourself a pregnancy test and if you're pregnant, get yourself to your GP ASAP.
Also check to see if you can still feel your coil wires. A bit gross but you will know if it's there or not
Hope you're ok!

I got pregnant with the mirena coil in situ. I still had periods with mine in so when i didn't have one that particular month i knew to test. And the result of that test turns 8 this year. I had the coil removed and was told there was a chance the removal could cause a miscarriage but happily it didn't. The only way you will know is to test.

Ditto, do a test. You can definitely get pregnant with mirena in - it’s much more reliable than some other methods but still has a fail rate! If positive test, see your GP to organise a scan quite promptly. Good luck either way!

I know someone that fell pregnant with a mirena in place. Unfortunately not a good outcome in that case but it certainly does happen.

There's a slightly higher chance of ectopic in pregnancies that occur with a coil in place so I would test and see GP if positive/unsure.

Gosh how worrying . I've had mine for 24 months and have al the same problems (as in feel pregnant, for me). Had dismissed it as impossible.eek.

Thanks guys just seen these. I'm going to buy a test in the morning to rule it out. I check my threads regularly and usually feel 2 but only can feel 1 dunno if that's just me being paranoid.
