Hello! I just saw the thread had maxed out.

How's everyone feeling?

My nausea has kicked up badly again today and I've just been eating through it. Oops...

Thanks for starting the new one, @Treacle81!

Nausea not as bad as yesterday but still there, also eating my way through it, @quiffy! Constantly wanting carbs, cheese and oranges!

I have noticed that I am really struggling to drink enough water. Usually not an issue and drink around 2 litres but certainly last few weeks been nowhere near that. Yea just eating to fight it off! Boob tenderness is less which is great tho! MW booking scan at 3 today then scan tomorrow evening. So exciting to hear about everyone’s experience so far 🤰❤️xx

@skyblue20 carbs and cheese are life atm! I actually had leftover pizza for lunch despite having nice healthy soup in the house oops.

@treacle81 I REALLY struggle with liquids atm. Just cant find anything I like, before being pregnant I usually drank lots of water, few cups of tea and a can of diet coke a day. These days just the sensation of the liquid going down just tastes weird. Good luck with your midwife appointment

My nausea is back too, feeling rubbish this afternoon. I’m drinking quite a lot of water but have noticed the last couple of days it’s makes me feel worse drinking particularly first thing in the morning. I have to eat something when I wake up otherwise I feel awful.
Still feeling quite grateful it’s not more severe though like some of you on here.

@ Quiffy Thank you, just out. Was only in for 30 mins as had two midwifes - one attacking me with needles, the other playing Question time. Ended up getting flu jab as it still is season for it x

Is anybody else really nervous about exercising? I’ve stopped running completely and am walking instead, am continuing with my physio exercises on my knees (but not ones where I’m meant to jump), doing some arm work, no abs work whatsoever and have stopped yoga as most pregnancy ones you can’t start until you’re 12/16 weeks and there are SO many things you apparently can’t do in non-pregnancy yoga. I’m just so nervous to do anything I even nearly deem as almost moving or shaking my body too much, even though logically I know things like running are fine and I’ve always run! I think it doesn’t help that I had some light spotting after last time I even attempted a jog - probably unrelated but it’s just affected me! What’s everyone else doing for fitness? The amount I’m eating I really need to be doing something more than I am, I think! 🙈 I did go for a swim the other day but shortly after the pool in my gym was shut for a week and a half, should be open again soon though so can try to start doing that regularly I guess. I’m just confused! Feel like I need a PT who specialises in pregnancy - I’m not the most confident gym goer as it is even before pregnancy!

@skyeblue I've kept doing barre (mix between Pilates and ballet) I just did a pregnancy modifications class before so I knew which moves I had to modify. They said I didn't need to modify so early on but I was so paranoid - I did one class without any modifications and I was scared to move at all! They also do a prenatal class which I've been to and gives me lots of confidence because I'm allowed to do everything in that class. I've also stopped running because I usually do park run and my park run is so crowded I'm scared I'll trip or be pushed over. Trying to stick to barre though - want to try to be strong for labour!

Tbh I’m usually pretty active and have tried to keep it up however pain in boobs cut my Spin class and have felt too nauseous to do any Pump recently. If I feel ok tho I’ll do it. Yea gonna start swimming I think. Doc said if you were active before no reason to stop if feel ok x

Sooo sick!!! Ive had brown discharge this morning and worrying like crazy!! Has anyone else had this? I am 7 weeks 2 days

Report
MrsD1990 · 02/03/2020 20:00

@smartie I have for most of my pregnancy. Turned out to be normal for me - you should go into your early pregnancy unit for them to check if everything is ok - I have been checked lots of times now and it's going away now (last brown discharge was 3 days ago)

The past few days I seem to have developed an adversion to leafy green veg. So far I have only been feeling a bit queezy but at the moment I literally can't stand the texture and it needs to be not on my plate. Anyone else had this?

@MrsB1821 I've had dreams like that too, it's terrifying but just have to remember that there's no actual bleeding so everything should be ok. With me I know it's anxiety based, doesn't help that the first appointment is so far away!!

Report
LexiM · 02/03/2020 20:46

@bnttowers yes I went off green veg despite always eating lots of it. It’s not so bad now but I’m eating it because I feel I should rather than enjoying it.

We told my husband’s family over the weekend and they are excited which is nice! More grandparents starting the knitting haha!

Thanks for the new thread!

My nausea is back too 😩 and I had my flu jab today so my arm is sore... and I have a cold still.
Feeling very sorry for myself so I'm off to bed. Wednesday is scan day! 🤞

Hi @Smartiex I’m 7+4 today and I had some pink blood which really stressed me out a couple of days ago, I went into my EPAC and they did bloods and scanned me there and then which was so lucky and I saw the heartbeat and it gave me some reassurance for now- maybe see if you can do the same if it is really making you anxious.

Yay, I found the new thread!
I'm the same on the drinking front and feel like I'm not drinking enough. The thought of lots of water sloshing around in me has not been good while I've been feeling nauseous. DH keeps offering to make me 'exciting' non alcoholic drinks to make up for the fact that hes sat there with a wine, but I cant bring myself to drink anything other than squash.

@MrsD1990 the pregnancy modifications class sounds great - would love something like that! I too want to be strong and healthy for the pregnancy, labour and early parenthood so desperate to get in to a routine that works for me. Maybe the arms and legs I’m currently doing plus swimming and pregnancy yoga when I can would be sufficient. I’m just one of those people that doesn’t feel like I’ve worked out unless I’m a red, sweaty mess though!

@Treacle81 Yes, the boobs are another issue! Mine have only started hurting the last couple of days but even power walking today I was like 😵

@LexiM Aww how lovely that you told them. I’m loving telling people, can’t wait for the 12 week scan so we can tell our friends!!

Got my booking appt in the morning, can anyone tell me what to expect? I know they take bloods and urine sample but anything else?

Report
LexiM · 02/03/2020 22:59

@skyblue20 I’m the same! Can’t wait to have that scan.

Hope your booking appointment goes well. I was told for the booking scan they ask about medical history on both sides of the family too. I’ve had to ask my husband as didn’t really know much about his side.

Report
SkyBlue20 · 02/03/2020 23:17

Thanks @lexim - we asked the mums all about the family histories before our last MW appt so have them all to hand, luckily (for some reason we have an appt before the booking appt here, to get us referred to our hospital of choice 🤷🏻‍♀️) My mum’s was a list as long as my arm of things that went wrong in pregnancy and my MIL was just like ‘I had to have forceps with one of them’ - totally in her stride!

How far gone are you now, is it about 8weeks? Not TOO much longer until the 12week scan now, though if these last few weeks are anything to go by, it’ll drag!

Report
LexiM · 03/03/2020 00:01

@skyblue20 oh that’s useful to have the first appointment. My booking one is 13th march, I’m currently 8+2 so will be 9+6 then. I know some people got a scan date before their appointment actually took place but as I haven’t had one I just presume it will come once I’ve seen the midwife. I’ve been a lot calmer than I thought I would be waiting for everything, each week seems to go quite fast (I know it won’t always feel that way!!)

Well nausea has hit a new level! That’s first time had it through the night as well as into morning 😢 @Smartiex I had a little tan coloured cm last night for first time! So yea doesn’t do much for anxiety levels! Esp when not had a thing beforehand! Scan at 6 this evening. 🤞🏼xx

@lexim My Dh was a bit shocked that he had to answer questions about his side (I'm glad he was there as I had no idea). He got quite flustered and forget about whether or not he'd been in prison?! He definitely hasn't haha. I told the midwifes that he was getting confused with Grand Theft Auto.

@Treacle81 @Smartiex I've heard brown discharge is totally normal, try not to worry too much. Happy scan day @treacle81! Sorry you're feeling so sick :(

Had a horrific dream last night where someone took my baby out of me using a big sucky thingy and put it in someone else! I think I've been watching too much Altered Carbon. So, woken up exhausted and not exactly raring to start work. I thought the later months would be a killer for work, but this firsr trimester is knackering

@quiffy how funny, I swear it’s something about official questions make you come across as shifty even if you’ve done nothing wrong. I always feel that way at the airport or like when they ask you questions before you get married 😂

That dream sounds so awful, I’ve definitely had a lot more weird dreams since being pregnant. I’m having today off as felt so awful all night and first thing. First time I’ve had to take a day off but just going to try and relax.

@LexiM Definitely airports, I also feel like I'm going to be found with contraband or drug swabs, despite never being near either haha. It's something about people in uniforms haha. A day off sounds like a great plan. Get your feet up and relax!

Yaaay for the new thread

@SkyBlue20 snap for the carbs and cheese

Orange juice is helping me slightly

It's my birthday today so off to enjoy myself tonight alcohol free obviously haha

I'm feeling super bloated already (probably due to the carbs) and none of my old jeans are fitting already!!

No date yet for my 12 week scan so just got a few weeks to ride
